Great game. Only problem I had was that the cannons wouldn't reload all the time even if I shut off the steam and had a vent to release pressure. Maybe I just misunderstood how it reloads?
5/5 though. Can't wait for #2! I hope its longer.

when you kneel you should gain accuracy not lose it and it deffinatly needs a tutorial because i had no clue what to do for the first 10 minutes

Frustrating to learn, and too short once mastered. Would benefit from a tutorial, but that dead horse has already been pulped. Quite fun once I got the hang of it, but the learning curve is like driving a truck into a brick wall. All in all, I give it a 4/5 because it has potential, but needs some refinement. It is, all said and done, a marvelous little contraption.

Game is great, but hard to do anything since most of the needed info is missing, thus most things thought up don't work. I assume it's missing info and not bugs. 5/5 for the game, but 4/5 due to the lacking instructions... and I'd prefer a 3.5/5.

this is pretty simple when you know what youre doing, for rifles, use two fuse valves, the one on top whouls be a lower PSI than the other one, for cannons, use need a venting system, flamethrowers are easy, just hook up steam, the buzzsaws are for moving enimies ONLY,the sledgehammer needs a 50/60 ratio of PSI and the jack hammer needs a 50/50 PSI ratio for it to start moving

what do i do? there's no tutorial to help. this game could be really good but i won't know if there's no way to understand anything thats going on >:@

I posted a tutorial in the General Gaming forums. Its kinda long, but has sections, so you can just look up the info you need. It's titled Help for Bureau of Steam Engineering. Ya, I know. Really original.

4/5. I figured out how some components work, and the game shows promise, but it is just to blasted confusing without a tutorial. Im going to keep fiddling with this game and see if I cant type up a tutorial on comments.

ok, i dont think a tutorial is needed. EXTREMELY great idea, wheres ep 2?, More weapons, how come the last opponent gets a jetpack? Another steam tank would make it easier for melee weapons, I used the gun to defeat most opponents-it has a simple concept, the rocket didnt work for me. I like the sledge hammer. This comment will be rated down for the fact that i dont think a tutorial is needed, i betchya!

This game feels like it should be extremely fun, but the lack of a tutorial has made me slightly confused.
A tutorial would really help players to get a grasp on the game, before just charging in there and tossing stuff around.

I see all these people saying they used the gun, they must be able to read that many people haven't. But for some reason, they decide NOT TO TELL all of us who can't work it out.
I used an alternate followed with two fuses, a higher theshold on the second. Hope it helps!

Gahh I figured out how to get extra power to the flamethrowers but I need a secondary route from FLAME A TO FLAME B uploading a pic...

Well i added a dump valve and i guess there is no way to reroute the leftover steam as there is no dedicated line, and at 60~psi the single steam vent is not enough, as there is no mention of how much it will release per tick (?) could use some much needed outline of what to see without having to rely on previous built designs from google searches...

yea, this trial/error method is no more than educated guessing, got to mission 3 with trying cannons, and no way of making it repeat shot with fuse valve.... What does it mean new shell will be replaced when pressure falls??? what i need to route the pipes to s dump system?

I cannot figure out how to get the weapons to do anything... it looks like it should be a good game, just not finished

Fun game, but the gun was the only weapon I used. I beat every level the same way. I also used duck on the controllable valve to dodge cannons. I let the melee weapons hit me.

Exceptional concept, horrible execution. I couldn't get past the second level because I didn't understand how I was supposed to shoot the gun, or why it wasn't working, or where the steam was! Where's the freaking steam? My meter is reading 0 all the time! 2.5/3 - fix these, and perhaps better ratings will appear...

Way too hard because there was no tutorial to explain any points of the game. This game needs a tutorial, all who agree, press the plus button or keep this message alive.

First off I like this type of game however it is a little hard trying to figure out what every thing does even with their descriptions. A tutorial would be nice or at least something that can help the player more than just the descriptions for the different items. Rating I feel is between a 3/5 and a 4/5 (sadly kongregate only has whole numbers though so I will have to rate 4/5) ;)

you have to press the little question mark it gives an example and explains everything-----------------------------------> vote up for everyones else

I think we just need to be told what it is on the robot that makes the steam..
I spent like 15 minutes thinking the turbine at the top made the steam.. xD

Ingenious game. Very steep learning curve, but ultimately very enjoying, albeit too short, and the final mech, was deafeated with a total lame ass "2 x Saws plus constant duck" ridiculous design.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very very fun- once you've worked out how to do it
It could do with more space to build in, more levels and of course a tutorial
