MY BRAIN HURTS SO MUCH!!! but strangely, i find this extremely fun, especially when you FINALLY get your contraptions to work, i like the transformation levels (like gold) instead of the combination levels more because its funner to watch it change over time then try to get the stupid order right, still 5/5 :D

Ok also tried a lot to figure how to make 12 cycles in level 1, normally this is AFAIK impossible, since dropping an atom into the receiver takes 2 cycles. so 2*5 is 10. So you got only 2 cycles to move the first atom into the receiver, while this is possible with one arm in the middle, it is impossible anyway to grap the second atom at cycle 3 and manage it into the receiver into cycle 5.
There is however a solution, which misuses a glitch, if you edit the so glory "decoded" savegame for one manipulator to have a redicolous large length it can grap the atom already in the first round. Only after cycle 1 the software trims the manipulators to real possible maximum lengths.
So there is the 12 cycle solution to level 1:
