BlackHatRob: I uploaded a new copy of the game with achievements, but Kongregate has only updated half the files. It should be back to normal in like 30 minutes.

5/5 for fun game, and extra awesome music. Seriously, one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard in a flash game. Color me impressed.

Symmetric Aqua Regia, calc&trans inspired by worldedit. Kinda slow though (16 tick) due to the chainbuilding:

And a Vertigris by me - goal: maximum glyph reusage and minimum arms (optimized with minimum commands) - 3 glyphs, 5 arms, 14 commands:

Also had a bug, and I think Flash is to blame, I replayed the game on another computer, so had to go through all the levels again, on the easy ones i build a machine, and when I was certain it would work, I took the focus of it, and worked on something different on my computer. Then atom collision! Wondering why, I just rerun, watching, works perfectly. Happened already twice to me!

A nice introduction to object-orientated programming. Would make a good educational tool. A few more components would be nice, and I think the interface could be streamlined a bit, but otherwise very nicely done.

I can imagine why you chosed the alchemical theme, and its genius, I would like a follow up as future tech with real molucules to be build. I'd love to build in a high level C6H12O6 (sugar) in high levels. And as input not having atoms already, but true elements as well. (Like H20, O2 and CO2, yes this would make a photosynthesis machine :-) And of course it could have nano elements not possible, like the an "add a proton element". That would be equivalent of the projector in this alchemny.

I noticed some glitching with near-simultaneous rotation and binding, myself.
I might take a guess that an optimal solution to one of the levels might require it.

5/5 game, because:
1. The music is nice.
2. The idea behind the game rocks.
3. It's challenging, it can melt some brains.
4. It allows metagaming (ex: I had some fun making polymers in it!), that's always interesting.
5. The last but not least... it's FUN! [for those who like to think.]
_____________
Suggestions:
1. Changing the "level complete" frame to something more useful. With options, like: "go to next level", "go to menu", "keep running the machine" and "stay on level, but stop the machine". Or something like that.
2. Allowing to clone manipulators. When you have to do 4 manipulators with the same commands, this gets annoying.
3. Keyboard shortcuts: M puts a manipulator, B a binding...
4. Show how much steps were used for the 1st unit, and subsequent output (good to brag about like "hey, I've done 1 Aqua vitae unit each 2 steps!")
5: More levels :D (and a level editor, too).
6: Badges.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok for people having issues, the programming tab the game mentions is in the top left. Notice there's Components/ More Components/Programming. To program a manipulator you have placed onto the field, you need to select the programming menu just under more components.
... do not mistake poor UI for stupid players. The instructions are very poor for this series of game.
