Flare is the coolest effect in the game. I when I first used the move I knew I would love this game. :D I beat the guardian on epic too!

I played this in Armor and Newgrounds, compared to those sites I actually fin it much harder to finish epic mode here in Kongregate, I dunno if I just need to play a different strategy here in the Kongregate version or if I just really suck, and yeah I agree with one of the comments here, the game needs more checkpoints, actually I think there should be an option after every stage if the player wishes to save or not, because it is kind of frustrating if you get defeated at the final battle and eventually have to fight the Undead Hydra once more and fight through the annoying robots that keep on drilling Natz.

the ability for the final boss on epic to call ion cannon twice in a row is insane....nothing can be done but hope it misses or survivor kicks in for matt....

Well, that was cool. I got three badges at once: Noob, Invincible, and Max Radiation. The best part was, all I had to do was watch the final boss call in the ion cannon! It was a neat animation, too. Oh, of course I didn't survive, since the tank still had its machine guns. Oh well, guess I'll have to just luck out against the Hydra again and hope I get that 5% chance of blinding it with Flare and Heaven's Gate's Unleash combined!

There aren't very many RPGs that catch my attention, let alone make me like it. This game did exactly that. Starting off, I was kinda happy about the graphic style and the fact that there were quite a few attacks. The only flaw would be in that the game focuses too much on battle - there is no walking, nothing. However, the battle was done very good and you did need strategy, rather than mindless button pressing. Good RPG. Not many of them get this, but a 5/5 fave is due for the effort put in this game. Thank you.

Jesus Christ, I finished the final boss on epic mode, it took me 3-4 tries but I finally did it. I just got counter on the guy, and kept using Legend with Blood Blade, and for the girl, just kept using revive on herself and is possible on the guy so that they could instantly revive after getting killed. That's basically it.

Well, I heard a lot of people talk about this game. Some good talk, some hate talk, actually, a lot of hate talk. It seemed a little over whelming at first but I honestly thoroughly enjoyed this game. Great graphics, great game play. It was funny, it was challenging and I'm looking forward to struggling for the impossible badge. My favourite game of epic week by far. 5/5

Stupid sand worm does a ridiculous amount of damage. (Then again I lost because I screwed up, but I still blame the fact that i get poisoned, then one of them dies, then the other is at half hp. I spend my whole turn healing back to full, then it repeats until I run out of items or I get a limit off.)

The Hydra can be blinded. This greatly reduces the danger of its instant-kill attacks. Use Unleash with the Heaven's Gate for best results.

A very easy impossible badge, remember to always have temper protect and barrier up.
(they go away in-between checkpoints and inactivate after about 20 rounds also its important to have "slime bunny" buff up at all times because a) it heals a substantial amount and its very mana efficient, b) it will negate some nerfs such as freeze. but most importantly, keep trying ;)

Finally beat it a 2nd time and got the impossible bade. The best combo is the blood sword with counter and counterx2 if you can get it and throw in the areial support which bombs the boss randmonly if you think you need it, secret weapon which is a third type of bomb that is a combination of the first 2, hits everything like the missiles but with the damage of the big bomb.

If you have the drain mp for each hit skill and you use the blood sword, it wont drain mp, not sure if that is a feature or bug

Good game, and fun for a while, but it seems like this is just the worst part of RPGs (the battles) over and over again. The minigames help break this up a bit, so good job there.
