Is the game still unplayable in Chrome? I have the latest Flash and everything and I still can't get the characters to move with the WASD or the arrow keys.

I just didn't like anything about this game, not trying to troll or anything but I hate the artwork (so much) and I really don't like the style of play, it seems to me just a crappy final fantasy rip-off, 1/5. Please note this is just my opinion, so don't swarm it with -'s please.

My internet is so slow that I managed to kill 600 slimes in the preloader just to find out that my character won't move or do anything -___- help please?

@ Shadasa: Yep, evas were at 50-70%, the physical and magical redux were perhaps 30-70% since they go to full from one cast. Oh, and I was at level cap (30). Otherwise I simply would have grinded (ground?) to a higher level.

the bit of lag i experienced was when i moved to a new area, it took a few seconds to switch to that area. my computer or cuz i have another game saved?

@ilk1986 Actually yes, it does matter what kind of game it is. First off, like you said, it's all a numbers game. For example, you say your Eva buffs were up, but even then, if the opponent's Acc base is still higher, the chance of evading isn't very good. Also, were your buffs maxed? Because buffs in this game stack, in case you didn't know. (Up to a certian %, which atm I haven't bothered to find out the max, but I think it's 70%, could be wrong). And another thing to consider is if you're a high enough level. What would be good enough for Normal may be 5-10 levels shy of what you need for Epic. Want more proof? All I have to say is this. Try to beat Nemesis in FFX WITHOUT Overkill. FFX was a great game, gameplay-wise anyway, and Nemesis is clearly harder than any other FF (Or RPG in general that I've played) enemy. Sure, it's an optional fight, but my point still stands.

@ishtaba: as I said, I was playing it on epic. I'm pretty sure I would do just fine in normal. As I said, it's not balanced for epic, which just shows a poor job with the numbers, and considering that RPGs more or less are about the numbers (especially this one, as there isn't much plot compared to say, Chrono Trigger, or even Starwish), this lack of execution in perhaps the most important aspect of RPG gameplay is pretty important.

@Shadasa: Does it matter what kind of game it is? The point is that there is a difference between challenging ("Aka I need to do this, that, and the other thing, and be that much more mindful of X, Y, and Z") and frustrating ("Well, despite having my evade/reduce damage buffs on, my team still died in one volley because one of the monsters took out a quarter of my health, and then the boss hit criticals on his attack that came out of nowhere on all 3 of my teammates"). To be able to correctly make that distinction is what separates a good game from a not-so-good one.

@ilk1986 I don't like to get in the middle of things, but the fact that you brought up a hack-slash game and compared it to an rpg makes you fail horridly. RPGs ARE luck-based with it comes down to it, ever try completing Solo Charactor Challenges in older RPGs? That's what makes them challenging, the luck-aspect. Espcially final bosses, you can be as prepared as you want to be, and still get your butt kicked. That's the best part for true RPG fans. And again, mentioning a Hack-slash when rating a RPG... Yeah.

@End of Eternity: I really don't think my example is an example of poor balance. A player should be able to complete the game without being a complete expert at it. Or another example, Hell Difficulty on Diablo 2. Is it difficult when you just start it? Of course. But then once you get optimal gear and into the 80s/90s, while you still very much can die, you can cruise through hell with smart play. The later portions of this game in epic difficulty are a question of whether or not some massive spell hits/crits your characters, and if you get caught in a revive/rebuff lock, that's all it takes, regardless of your equipment/level/etc... IMO epic should not be luck based when you have 60% physical/magical/evasion buffs on with proper gear. It is.

@ilk1986 A few things about your comment. The first: the game is meant to be played on normal. That's how games work. Therefore, it is balanced for normal. Epic merely has to be possible, that's it. And it is. I have never played the game you mention but if the game does do that, it is a poorly balanced game and should never enter a discussion of game balance unless it is an example of poor balance. Try to avoid being one of those modern gamers that think that because their strategies are amazing and their power level is over 9000 that they should breeze through the hardest difficulty of every game. This game's design is excellent and the balance is impeccable. Your 3/5 is driven entirely by the fact that you fundamentally misunderstand the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Have to rate this a 3/5 at best simply for how frustrating the game gets at later points on epic. Put it this way: a game should not be hard if you're using the most degenerate strategy in the game. The fact that at level 30 you can easily get caught in a revive/rebuff lock wearing max dark resists against Akron is just absurd.
Basically if you've ever played a game called Seiken Densetsu 3, when you had a team of Star Lancer Lise (mass group buffs) and nightblade or ninja master Hawk (debuffs), once you got the spells up, bosses did two damage to you with their "boss is charging super powered attack".
That's the way it should be. The way it is now is basically "oh hey is Akron poisonable? No? Keep waiting."
The game may be balanced for normal, but it certainly isn't balanced for epic. So yeah. A lot of work, a lot of talent shown, but rather poor execution on the edge cases.

T.T I've never been so pissed at a game before, Akron was ALMOST done for, and boom, he kills all 3 of my players even when they were at full health...WTH!!!!!
