Third boss was a real pain in the ass. Without a ton of revival/healing items that thing is impossible to defeat. The fact that he has an unlimited amount of allies that he calls as soon as you kill one of his minions does not make it better. Oh, and in case you suggest just to focus in the mammoth - good luck with reviving a team member every round.

I finally beat the game on Epic difficulty. It isn't all that hard; I rarely had to change equips at all. The trick is to Use Reflex after Protect and Barrier, then Flare. It can render the rune claws and the evil worm/tail almost useless, but not so much for Akron, as his debuff limit for all stats is -20%. Game already got a 5/5 and a favorite from me, now to do the same things with the 4th one.

In any way, syphoning Cosmic Monolith is just a waste of damage it deals. It can wipe out it's companions in 2-3 Doomsdays.
