PEOPLE: notice that red bar under neath all the characters health? When that red bar fills up underneath the green magic points bar then presto-chango you've got a limit break! Limit breaks are random only in the fact that monsters actually have to attack you for the gauge to build up. Also, the gauge will only build up when you buy a Limit Break Skill. So, to put this to rest: 1) Buy a limit break skill. 2) Get the snot kicked out of you by monsters until the red bar fills up completely. 3) Use limit break.

You basically have to wait, sometimes a limit-break attack can happen on your first-turn. I'm not sure, but I think whether you get the chance is random. You can do a limit-break when you see the attack button flashing. Clicking on it will give you a choice of all the limit-breaks you upgraded, or your regular attack, so you can save the limit-break attack for when alot of enemies come if you want to.

to use a limit break,you have to have the little red bar that is below your character experience filled up all the way. this fills up by taking damage, and doesn't empty over battles.

same thing happened to me. It was caused when he did the version update. To get around this you have to right click, press settings, and set storage to unlimited.

I been playing this game for ours and loved it! BUT, I was on the fire level after the Cat Ruins and I cant find my saved game. Gone. This is the first comment I have ever made on kongregate, its just...I love RPGs and getting that far I feel its not gonna be worth the lil bit of game time I had left to redo everything Ive done...Thanks Kupo really good game just an unfortunate accident I suppose...But, you still have a fan keep up the good work.

Great game! I have one quick suggestion though. When you hover over a piece of equipment it would be quite convenient if it also showed the difference in stats from your currently equipped armor/weapon.

WTF????!!!!!!!!! i kill two dragon heads and takea small clip out of the last ones health, then he kills all my ppl with one hit when they all had full health and no debuffs the dark beam thing

this gonna work. if you got terra drill move and akron buffs his def and magic def, use it and he will lose lots of hp. i tried that and he lost 60k hp

cursed treasure? aint anyone sick of seeing it at the top? sure the game is a revolutionary/original TD BUT this game is more visually appealing... what's certain both have really good replay value...

My very favorite of the Epic Battle Fantasies, I've also got a couple boss strategies to share. For Jack(forest), Thunder magic is key. For the Squid(Beach), Poison and an Annihalate or two and you should get through it pretty easily. On the Mammoth(Tundra), You'll need Nettle, Purify, and Nuke. Poison him up to 9 then play it defensive until he's dead. On the Viking Monoliths(Tundra), Make sure you either have level 5 Whitemage Dress, or Regen. That way, if he freezes you you'll be out of it before your turn starts. For the Protector(Desert), Attack head on, and on the charge move, Defend. Same strategy for the Cosmic Monolith. Haven't made it to Akron yet. Hope this helped! + if it did!

XxStarlightxX, you have to equip the correct armor (the viking and fur armors) they give cold and freeze resist. Your people won't freeze (well, two of them) as much, plus nat's healing spells or using garlic gets them out.

just one thing... in the ice valley... when ur 3 units get frozen (70% of the times) u die cuz the enemy dont break it -_- i rate 4 for that instead of 5 fix that man

kupo! awesome game! favorited 6/5 !!! great humor, good items, funny characters. only a few things: the scan thing kilerocket already mentioned. AND first i hope your gonna do EBF4 and !please! do a hard mode. 'epic' is quite alright but for an experienced rpg maniac like me its just 'normal'. so maybe give em monsters more hp or some more status effecting spells or something like that to make it a real challenge. after some easymode gamescouting in town i played the first time on epic and i died 2 times (only) and i really messed up with the skills and stuff.
+ if you want a harder difficulty on EBF4

It's a pitty to see a great game like this being target to haters or people who don't understand that this isn't a "COPY" of any other RPG game, its a RPG game itself! Its a genre, that's why they look alike. I am truly dissapointed about these people, i'm sorry.

EvoVI, many ways to kill the mammoth. Getting the fire sword and the fire staff certainly helps. Getting the right equipment to go against its attacks helps. Maybe make another level or two? The equipment in the cave will help, but that area might be as tough as the mammoth.
A effective way I used was to simply use poison on it, till it had poison 9 (the max poison level enemies can get in the game, but your characters can collect more on them) with the poison staff at a good level. Even if you spend most of the rest of the battle simply trying to survive, the poison will eventually finish it off on its own.
