Save tip : Find the EBF4 save file on your computer by using Run and searching %appdata% And browseing the files, mine was in a Shockwave flash file.
Copy the save data and save it somewhere safe as backup, I did this every 5 or so level ups at the beginning.

This is by far the best game I have played on Kongregate. This "free" rpg is better than so many I have played on consoles or pcs. Way to go!!

Hah! A person with black hair in a red and white shrine maiden outfit guarding a temple, and her name is REI! Awesome Touhou reference.

I feel bad for the people who aren't immune to screamers like me, and used the attack Screamer. If you haven't used it already, turn off your sound first!

Tips for 3M damage: Really high combat level would help. 35+.
Play on Easy.
Fight holy foes that are extremly weak to dark. Lower their defence to the make. -50%. Buff A Matt equiped whit fully upgraded Genji armor and Anarchey sword attack (70%). (Note: you should use every stat boost for attack for Matt (Since you are on easy difficulty it shouldn't be a problem) Try Freezing the targect too before using Matt's limit break: Power Blast. It's 70% luck based, but it worked for me and got me 3.4M damage. good luck. (Yeah very terrible English...was in a rush so uhh)

I love the game, but you should be able to do a newgame+(basically the same concept that was in 3), and the Premium Content should give a special key item that unlocks a new world area, like a DLC.

I now found an even better way of bringing your saves back. Type chrome://plugins/ into your URL. Search for your Adobe Flash Player plugin - it'll probably say that there are 2 files in it. There's a common Chrome issue here, you only need one active file, and the 2nd one probably activated itself during an update. Expand the plugin details, and deactivate the internal file (the one with /Chrome/ in its path). Reload EBF4 - your save game should be back, and your game should run as fast as it used to (having both of those files active slows things down a lot). If you followed my previous post and played since then, then you'll need to copy your "newer" saved games from the 2nd place back to the 1st one :P Neurogenesis comment, keeping it alive it works.

I honestly agree with the others about the backup thing. If you're going to make something like this, either increase the playing field or increase the number of characters that can be used to 5-6.

I love this game, I love the whole series... But, In the last screen of the temple of godcat... Standing before the most powerful foe I would've ever faced, I had to go do something. When I got back I immediately started up the game. Clicked on play. Clicked on continue. Then my heart skipped a beat as I saw that all save files, including auto save... were empty.
Im going to cry.

dislike the fact that you have to pay for newgame+. if you wanted to get people to pay you for this, try adding a limit to the number of newgame+ restarts so you had a teaser of what is gained by paying. just some suggestions from someone who is ******* TIRED OF ALL THE PAY FOR THE BETTER STUFF GAMES OUT THERE!(yes, that was a swear word. no, i did not type the actual word.)

I'll go against the tide here: I think EBF3 was better.
The lack of minigames in this one brings it down a lot. Without them, there's nothing to do other than just fighting. That gets repetitive in pretty much all RPGs.
Other than that, I also felt 4th character was unnecessary, especially a single-target focused one, soundtrack was less memorable and the pokemon-style backtracking was a bit overused
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game. I just didn't feel the "wow" effect EBF3 gave me. Nothing felt significantly new. I completed this one, but I never felt that urge to complete it on epic and collect all medals like I did after completing EBF3. Heck, I came back to EBF3 months later to replay it on Epic. I'll replay it again someday. This game? Not a chance.
Dialogues and story were still amusing and light-hearted, I approve
There's a lot of room for improvement. And I hope other people will point out some flaws too so that EBF5 can be the bestest game on the internets

I really tried to enjoy this game, ut upon discovering that "LE HOME" was written on a footmat, I just HAD to rate it 1/5 and quit.

You should make it so things that are oxymoronous, like Thunder Jellyfish or Thunderbirds, have 50% resistance to the type they're weak to but the element they are.
