come on!im played this game for 3 months and now,all my saved game is not here!this is a great game!but all my game is deleted!help!

Yesterday I would literally every time I closed firefox and reopened because my game gets really laggy after long periods, the save file would switch location between assets.kon and chat.kong, why can't it stay in 1 place! hopefully it works today.

Oh nevermind, I have also lost my saves, but I now have the medals... the other way around... WTF kong?
Also, everyone knows where the saves for the game itself are, but what about the medals?

Ok, nvm.. they changed it back to assets.. but i already accidently deleted it when i tried transfering it to chat.kongregate... There goes 50 hours T.T At least i have the 2 hour save from yesterday.. Hooray..

It would be convenient for shopping/selling if you could click and hold the up/down arrows and have the amount bought/sold go up and down that way, instead of having to individually click a couple hundred times whenever you want to clean out your inventory to buy something expensive, or buy a bunch of stuff for a forge.

Kongregate made some changes, hopefully that fixes the recent saving and premium content issues. Send me some info if you noticed anything.

To Djiepers, although that may be the default location for the files, we all have different computers with widely different caches. The fact is that for whatever reason, everyone's saves are no longer working. I for one just lost 18 hours of data without receiving my badge, all in effort of updating a game that was working just fine earlier.
And perfect timing on waiting until no new players are coming in to erase the saves. This is bush league stuff.

I've managed to get recovering my save files down, but every single time my medals keep getting lost. What file stores the ingame medals? cause it's getting real annoying trying to get all the medals when this keeps happening.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ikariam took my whole history away, along with the saves! gonna have to start it all over again ;-;

OK nothing against the game cause I seriously love this game a lot, but that's the problem! I always save but then when I come back to the game from doing something my saves are gone! I've tried everything to get my saved back but it never works. I've played this over 10 times and have gotten no farther than the waste disposal place, other than yesterday where I got past the jungle and to the beach but then I had to go on an unexpected camping trip and when I came back my saves were gone!! I am not going to play this anymore until either:
1.The saving is fixed
2.I find a way to get my saves back
or 3.I actually have time to beat it all in one day!
Thanks for the game but I would love to actually finish it.

Saves AND premium content don't seem to be working today. I think Kongregate have goofed something up; I've already alerted them.

Bug Report: Decided to finally pay for something and bought the premium pack. Very unusual for me to do this, but nevertheless... After saving, quitting, then loading, the game can't find some of my premium data. I have some premium items equipped (fusion sword, etc.), but no other premium items are in my equip list. if I equip a regular item, the premium item also disappears. Is this an EBF4 problem or a Kongregate problem?

Following Djiepers' steps seems to work. If you are using Google Chrome however, your saved data may be stored elsewhere. Here is where I found my save games: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\Writable Root\#SharedObjects\(8 random letters and numbers). From there, just follow Djiepers' instructions. Good luck Chrome users!

Basically the game is saving to chat.kongregate instead of assets.kongregate, so just find those folders and move the files. Probably Kongregate's fault.

Your saves haven't been deleted, the game's just using a different folder for some reason (definitely not my fault though, probably some software update).
Create a new saved file, and then do a full system search for "EBF4": the most recently modified file will be in the folder the game is currently using. Move the older files you find from that search into this current folder.
If someone can explain that better, give it a shot.

Ok so update, it seems my premium content only shows up when I play in firefox, but not in safari, my medals are completely gone on both however, which is a hassle but I Just want to know how to make sure it doesn't happen again.
