I've grown up palying flash games since i was about 7 i've played and beaten every single EBF game from 1 to 5 and it amazes me and absolutely warms my heart to see these games grow over the years transcending from just another flash game to something of true RPG status and Matt Rozak just pouring his heart and soul into these wonderful flash games but he isn't the only one who's done this either so thank you to everyone who has helped flash become what it is today as flash nears the end of it's cycle thank you for providing us with something truly spectacular that will be remembered for years to come.

That's also a persistent and intentional (I hope) side effect of a particular boss. I've had trouble reversing the visual disruptions it causes, but I have found that starting the final battle will overwrite it. That boss is a nightmare to fight on any difficulty, simply due to its (and its minions) ability to outright one-shot any of your team. Resistances will demand retries and a bit of luck to come out on top. Take solace in that you don't have to fight it on epic for a medal.

Oh shit I came back from that weird glitch world that looked like an 8 bit game and now random shit is glitched. I'm getting some creepy Doki Doki Literature Club vibes and now I'm worried Monika is gonna jump out of the screen at me.

hamrage14's answer on catching mobs is mostly correct, but not entirely.
The primary factory on catching mobs is hp, if they are not weakened you can't catch them and you'll be more likely to catch them the lower their hp is. In addition, increasing your accuracy while reducing the enemy's evade drastically improves chance of capture.

If you want to cross the cloud tiles there are winged boots in the optional area in the north. Not sure which treasure chest, but I think you need to use the flower codes to get them. There are some pictures on walls and such with nine dots, place flowers where the colored dots are.

Excellent. This works on Windows XP, when some dumb simple games don't. You don't need the latest hardware and software to have freaking awesome games like this.

I like that some fights have alternate ways of winning them, but I really feel like there should be an alternate cutscene afterwards as well to reflect the alternate method. (Getting No Legs wet, Charming Natalie into surrendering, exhausting Anna, and seducing Lance all act like you beat them up and won through the normal method.) An alternate cutscene for capturing Poseidon instead of killing him would be nice as well.

I finally managed to make Anna surrender after a missle when another random missile came to knock her out. That was so unexpected =D

Use the ability to save a file directly onto your computer to keep progress from being wiped out completely even if you do clear your cache, cookies, etc.

Love the game, love the developer. My only frustration is that I sank a couple of hours into it, relying a lot on luck to be able to capture monsters and even bosses, only for both the auto-save and the manual save to get wiped for whatever reason. As much as I want to simply start over and save files to my HD on the second run, I can't find the motivation to do so :(

I normally hate when games cap how many units you can bring to a fight but the backup function in this allowing you to switch and still take an action is nice

Just purchased Epic Battle Fantasy 4 & 5 on Steam to support. Iv'e been following this series since the first installment and have spent hundreds of hours on it. Thanks for the memories.
P.S. Any chance Epic Battle Fantasy 1, 2, and 3 can be put on Steam as well since there will no longer be support for Flash?

Oh, bummer. EBF5 is already rated so highly that it finally pushed EBF4 off the front page. A sad day. Can we get those other sad excuses for games off there so the real champs can reign supreme?
