when Epic Battle Fantasy 3 came out, I was pretty young, and didn't know a lot of people who played turn based RPGs. I was shocked when the creators name was Kupo, I didn't know other people really played the Final Fantasy games. I messaged Kupo707, shocked that there were other people who shared my interests. He took the time to respond to me, and it mattered a lot to my younger self. Every game this guy comes out with has been so much fun, and every time I think about them I'm reminded of the time he was kind to me.

This game deserves to be the highest rated game. Why? Because it's presence shows how Flash is important to history; at first, he created not good, but free games, to better and well known series called Epic Battle Fantasy: while the first 2 were closer to games like Sonny when it comes to gameplay, starting from 3rd and now, he added exploration; the ones that helped to popularize the RPG games and series as a whole.
Looking on Steam, you show how you can do paid games right: like Creeper World creator, you use Steam for improved/extra features, and remaking 1 older part of the series for free for fans commitment to buying on Steam. All of it is better compared to Kong pushing P2W garbage on Steam, like $ynapticoin, which itself only a shadow of what Tyrant used to be, one of best games of 2011 on Kong that was gone due to their greed on Unleashed and not-so clones called Spellstone and Animation Throwdown. Don't become like them, my avatar is a remnant of a better era.

i remember played ebf 4 and i love it so much. i already played it on ur website but i am glad it officially came up on kongregate. Love this game so much !

I took 20 minutes of my life to translate the morse code guys in the sword shop, left to right : PIZZAGATE IS REAL / I AM ERROR / WELCOME TO DIE / HOW CAN MIRRORS BE REAL IF OUR EYES ARENT REAL?.... thats a lot of morse...

Just bought game on steam although played only like 2h. Enjoyed on kongregate previous games, so just had in mind "well deserved". Keep going!

what i mean with "speed up animation option would be great" is that i just prefer to play faster that watch all those attack and buff animations because the longer you play the more sloppy they became.

if I play the online version here and have reached quite some progress, can I later on switch to the .swf and take my savefile with me? or would I have to start the game in the .swf new cause the save file from the kongregste online version here cant be exported?

can totally agree with gahtru, the dumb a*shles that are responsible fopr flash being abolished, should burn in hell and suck many d's down there! :-( flash games are some of the greatest games out there, yet dumb *** managed to convince people to stop flash! :-( f*ck them all!!!

This is a freaking blast, love it. I think my only dislike with the game so far is having to use captured monsters in quests/forging and then having to catch them again.

Walked thoroughly through Steam version, so just dropped by to rate it 5 starts, and bid my thanks to Matt - you're awesome, i wait for the next part and hope that death of Flash won't gonna stop you from giving all of us some more well spent days playing EBF. Cheers.

I already have the Steam version, so I'm just dropping by to give this fantastic game and its equally fantastic developer a quick 5/5. It's amazing to see how far this series has come from its humble roots as a simple series of level-less wave battles. That said, it's good to see another EBF game rightfully at the top of the RPG category on Kong's front page. I hope it stays there for a long, long time.

Oh, bummer. EBF5 is already rated so highly that it finally pushed EBF4 off the front page. A sad day. Can we get those other sad excuses for games off there so the real champs can reign supreme?

Flash will never "stop working in browsers forever" because they can't go into everyone's computer and forcibly remove it. Just because it's "unsupported" does not mean it will stop working. All you need to do is use a browser it still works in. I personally recommend Vivaldi.

When I play this game, the timeline for all 5 seem to be flushed down a toilet.If Matt meets The Nature person in the fourth and 5th, but gains NoLegs in the fifth, that means 4 comes after 5 but that still dosent solve the problem that he knows the Nature person ( I can't remember there name)I may look back on this after beating the game, understanding it all, but at the time of writing this, it confuses me.

Also is Garlic still an underrated item? The item used to be like 50 col. Doom? no problem! Syphon? Not a chance! Stupidity? I dont really know
