It's not all that hard honestly, as long as you remember to keep up both Matt and Natalie's def/mdef buffs up during bosses. Otherwise, I found myself using the Second blade a lot to regain Matt's mana so he can spam abilities (including his heal, which can help if Natalie needs mana). For undead Goku I just used the runeblade and spammed seiken while keeping up my defense buffs. As long as you do that and keep healing, you're fine. Also, I only found out during the last battle, but Natalie can restore her mana by blocking attacks. The more you know.

Tips for boss- before you get to him, there are 3 enemies, it is in the graveyard area. Reduce to 1 and get yourself to full heath and mana and buff (might be hard because the enemy will debuff you) Switch your sword to Heavens gate or Rune Blade. Once you get to him, use Seiken and Judgement, but if your HP gets below 5k, heal with MoreHeal. Once he charges his Spirit Bomb, use Matt to heal with items and Nat to buff Magic Def. DO NOT GET COCKY AND ATTACK WITH LOW HP EVER, even if it LOOKS like a 1-hit K.O.

Im pretty sure the only reason this game is hard is due to when you start fighting multi-target foes and start being poisoned and when your Mp goes into healing and buffs...

Really not sure why people are complaining about there not being a save.
I got to the end boss on epic my first time through. Died at roughly 30% health. It's not THAT long of a game :-/

For those who don't understand why things like pokemon don't appear beyond the occasional reference in later games is he tries to avoid copy right infringement because he's payed for the later games. The more you know~

Highly addictive game, which would be great if the mentioned cons were dealt with:
. a safe option, at least one at the 2nd shop!
. and for those like me battling for hours to win the game, a way to mute the music would be nice.
Other than that a great game. Very replayable as well, with the amount of items to be discovered.

Its funny. you'd think after playing it's 2nd game, or its 3rd, or even fourth, you'd look back on this. unimpressed. But even now, with all these other AMAZING sequels available, this game is still the classic and original version. it simply cannot be ignored. I feel like this game still represents what epic battle fantasy is all about. you jump in this game, with no idea who the characters are, or what is happening. you just start fighting. its just so simple, yet so amazing. this an awesome beginning, to an awesome series. definite 5/5.

wow. The first of 4 games and it is still rated a 4 and all the other games are rated even higher. This is probably the most popular series of games on kong and quite rightly so. My thank to the dev and his/her team.
