Good game, but if I were to offer one piece of advice, could the Blind status not be grey on a grey background (i.e. the floor). It is, ironically, practically invisible.

This game is heavily inspired by Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. E.g. the variety of slimes, the samurai enemy and the capsule-monster-like feeding is straight from that game. To be fair, the copied parts are the good ones and it feels good to play. :)

Found an issue with zombie defense. Not sure how but now whenever the reload button finishes it takes me out to the main screen with all the options of places to go. This makes me have to beat hard in 5 seconds.

It would be nice to know whether the different elements affect anything; there is no indication in the bestiary whether any monsters are particularly weak or strong against particular elements.

@felixr2 Your explanation of why certain characters act slower makes sense, however none of that is mentioned in game. That said, if the reason my mage attacks so slowly is because of big magic, then my healer casting big magic should be affected by the same concept(which he isn't).
In my original comment I mentioned that I fought 3 slimes and had a damage range of 240-625. The key point is that they were 3 IDENTICAL slimes. Even saying that slimes would have minor differences in stats from one another shouldn't produce a damage range like that. I honestly haven't played the game in awhile so I don't remember if there could have been level differences or not, but I wouldn't have commented about it if a lvl 5 slime and a lvl 30 slime took different amounts of damage(I'd have be braindead NOT to know why).

@MatthewR286 Play the sequel, with a small amount of extra features it makes many game mechanics much clearer. Most importantly it has a turn order bar. Y'know how comes that your mage attacks much less frequent despite having way higher speed? It probably keeps casting big spells, which put it WAY further down the bar than a normal attack would. That they don't start in the same order is because the starting position of everyone (allies and enemies) is random and in the lowest third of the bar (approximately). Damage is "wonky" because there also is resistances and weaknesses you need to keep in mind. Plus some creatures have higher defense/magic defense than others.

I have to give this a 4/5 because of a lack of explanation of how a couple of mechanics in the game work. I have beaten the game and still have no idea what speed is supposed to do. The helps screens say that it increases the frequency of your attacks. I specifically designed my team such that my mage will be faster than everyone on my team(45 speed vs 15-25 for the rest of my team). My slowest character(healer with 19 speed) will attack 3 times before my mage with 45 speed. Typically my fastest character will get 1 attack for every 2 that the rest of my team does. He doesn't even get to attack first. My other headache is how the hell does damage work? I mean, my attacks in general get stronger with more stats but the damage ranges are AWFUL. My mage uses fire bolt. Sometimes it does 500 and some change. Other times it does about 230. My mage uses flame wall. (Fighting 3 slimes) #1 takes 240, #2 takes 485, and #3 takes 625. Good luck trying to find any consistency with your strategies.

Well, that's annoying. I saved the game. I didn't clear my browser cache - just left the page. When I came back, my save was gone.

This game might not seem like anything special today, especially not compared to all of the big triple A console titles. But it's nice to sit back and relax with something more simple, without any complicated mechanics or try-hard mindblowing physics and storylines. Thanks for the game :3

is there any way you could change where it saves....ive never actually managed to finish this game since my save always ends up lost due to it saving to cache instead of locally. that or an import/export would be amazing and probably let me actually finish this game.

Fun to play, but it didn't feel very challenging. I just got the hard badge with 700K+ gold to spare. I never needed any supplies except ethers and occasionally revive. It would be more fun if I didn't have access to endless supplies, and actually had to plan out my resource management.

For some reason, it's not saving for me, even thoug I don't delete my cache and I do press the "save" button like three times before quitting. This has happened twice already, and since it's no fun to play an RPG that won't save, I'm just gonna abandon this one to starve.
