Now, use the same engine you are using to display dungeons, but make it display instead towns (with fences houses and "town stuff") and wilderness (trees, hills, mountains, lakes, etc.). Make the story a bit more complex, add a few NPCs. A simple way to "maximise" NPCs is simply reuse the same NPCs, with color palette changes.
You'd surely get a much more complete RPG experience.

LOVE this game it's the best type of game hehe turn based rpg. I hope this game style is revived and becomes used more for other games hehe! :D games like these are suikoden ps2, eternal sonata xbox, summoner saga pc, final fantasy, mardek pc!!!!! and some others!!!!!! OH YEAH POWER TO THE CREATORRRRR!!!!!!!! please keep making more games like this hehe.
... oh also some thoughts on some ideas to consider adding (don't get me wrong this game is beyond AWESOME but i think if you add these things it would go beyond GREAT)
... here are the suggestions
1. upgrade system like in magic, physical, critical, luck, and so on.
2. more characters you can choose from
3. more equipabble things if possible :D
4. Npcs with different storys and personalities to get us more attached to the story
i think thats it POWER TO THE CREATOR(S)
3.

Played mobile and pc version of this, tips for more advanced users:
1. Silence strike (phobe as rogue gets it with a few points into the tree) is invaluable. Silence birds, werewolves, and tricksters for some painless wins.
2. Experiment with different items, build around legendaries. For example, with a legendary level 36 bow, attack up, and defense down i can do over 8000 damage with just 1 character (rogue kaeli and her multishot move).
3. Status effects are godly and let you beat the game very very fast. Try using moves like shear and attack down and laugh as bosses become obsolete. Also, Ruben's skills as warrior apply slow and his level 30 warrior skill has 3 chances to hit and apply slow.
4. Rare mobs are bahamut, bunch, and fury. Note that when they die they drop a guaranteed purple and an RS. RS bahamut buffs all of your chars with regen/shell/attackup/speed/defense up instantly.

I have a question for the creator(s) of the game. when you use buffs like attack up or haste up. if you use the same buff twice and the same character(s), does the effect stack even though there is only one symbol for that specific buff showing up?

Would it be possible to include the achievement sound in the mute? It kinda scared the hell out of me when that sound suddenly blasted in my ears with the rest of the game muted.

Same problem with all other RPGs. The SAME battle music is used over and over (aside from bosses). Hasn't anyone learned by now that hearing the same song 200 times gets really old? And I know fanboys are going to vote this comment down because they don't understand the difference between hatred and constructive criticism. Anyway, for once I'd like an RPG with multiple battle themes. Is that really too much to ask?

Who do you think is the strongest character? Personally I think it's a toss up between Phoebe or Reuben. He's really rather useful as a mage or priest and doesn't have a bad base attack or accuracy. Phoebe's just a powerhouse through and through with her physical attacks.

There is a problem with one of the equips... The Cursed Pendants don't give the buff on protection from status problems like poisoning when unequipped and altered with another item.

Honestly, I thought it was too easy. Just dump all of your AP into one class per person. Your buffs/debuffs have decent strength-- the problem is that foes lack HP and these spells. Bosses are simple-- Using all of your buffs gives you the battle, inflicting 700+ damage with a single blow; the only debuff that I can ever get to hit on a boss is SPD DOWN... also why don't ATK UP and ATK DOWN cancel each other out? Honestly, the bosses would've been better off as one form with a ton of HP, save the final boss, which could have multiple forms. Either way, it needs a ton of HP; its supposed to be a BOSS! It's not supposed to go down to someone two levels lower than it in less than 10 turns! It should be a difficult fight, not one you breeze through. And the few monsters that can inflict some status infliction never survive. I could go through an encounter, use storm, and win... in the final area! I've yet to do the post-game, but I'm sure it isn't much different. Awesome plot!

Wonderful game, great item/upgrade system, use of buffs and classes. Makes you want to mix and match, not just faceroll with 1 "overpowered" class. I mean the descriptions of the bosses alone (samurai king is platinum in starcraft made me laugh hard)!!! Great rpg hope others follow suit. You don't need crazy graphics just make it funny, fresh, and hip. Been waiting for the new Mardek but holy moly pig this will do.

Not bad for an RPG. The game kept me interested until about floor 17... at which point I rushed to the end, beating the final boss at level 18.

Up at the top of the game screen, where it says" Instructions, Rate, Favorite and Facebook like, it shows around 5.2 stars...You KNOW this game is good when you have 5.2 stars. Anyone else see it or just me???

A summoner type class would be great. And perhaps another version of the mage, I don't have a mage so idk what you could change.

I love RPG's, Final Fantasy especially, and the thing that makes this so enjoyable to play is the fact that while you're running around you don't get bombarded by random enemies. You know where they are and if you want to fight them. Even though it helps leveling up, it's nice to be able to avoid a fight rather than get thrown into 5 battles in each room due to "random enemy generators". Thanks LAN14N, 5/5 hands down. And just read the post about you developing it on your own, if I could I'd give you 10/5.

A few beginner hints so you don't make the same stupid mistakes as me. This game is not an autosave game, you have to save in the main menu (backpack) at the bottom. If there are monsters and treasure in the same room, try to get the treasure first because after the battle it will probably be gone. Items dropped in the dungeon are better than ones you can buy in the town.
Lastly, a comment to developer if they decide to make another epic game. Please include some way to look at skill descriptions before actually having to get the skill (Tooltips would be great). But thanks for all your hard work, easy 5/5 game so I do hope to see some more from you :D

omelette du fromage?? Am I hallucinating, or do I vaguely recall an episode of Dexters Lab in which those are the only words he can speak? And he gets famous because of it, or something?

This game hitherto satiated my appetite for gaming/quenched my thirst for adventure, but it is starting to become a little bit repetitive just since the battle schemes are generally the same in every screne and the animations seem somewhat dull as you advance through the dungeons of the story(line). However, overall I find it pretty decent. There was a certain sense of novelty when I initially begun playing this game and I still look forward to completing more quests/missions. I'm enamored over the unique style of this Rpg. Hence I'm giving it an awesome rating of 4.5/5.

Heres a tip: Make Tristam and Reuben fighters,Kaeli Healer(Why? Because she gets Heal All faster.Sure Phoebe has the healer thing going for her with the hammer and all but she does not get heal all as fast as Kaeli)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd like an auto fight button. Like, when in battle, your team auto uses attack and healers heal if team member hp below 50%? also nice would be a speed up button, so the fights dont take that long.

Another fact on how to beat Rock!!!It's the obvious name of the boss that tells what type he is.This means if you use(ATTENTION:This is another thing from Etrian Odyssey 3)Volt Star on him, miminal damage will be done.Be careful with that fact, and you'll be fine ;D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd recommend bringing a LOT ot minor potions with you when fighting Rock. Also, bring some Revives as well, just incase one of your team dies. The main reccomendation I would make is to always have Frost Strike learned by Reuben because I found out Rock gets a LOT of damage. This is from a Youtube video on Etrian Odyssey 3 done by Liferake:"Damage, damage, damage, damage, damage,DAMAGE!!!"
