Here's a quick hint to get people started on the hard badge:
On day two get acceleration 1, then if done correctly you can get the distance award on day 3 which will let you get the hand glider also

booring game in the beggining but now i have all uppgrades just cant beat 6000 feet. i shall try your tips guys. i get a bit angry at kongregate because they are showing the end with the picture on one of the achievements. yeah sorry guys who havent nooticed yet. they should make a more realistic kiteflying and the pinguin should move a bit. now im taking up far to much space so bye

Massive, massive bug, and I haven't a clue how I triggered it: on day 4, I'd messed up, so I hovered my mouse over 'Options' and (I think I might have clicked "Show Cutscenes")... then I got the ending video and it told me I'd completed the game in 4 days. What?!

ok for 6000 feet. do this.... have all upgrades besides $10,000 acceleration. launch off starts you at 6% resistance get it to 3% asap, rocket yourself to 225 mph then just cruise on it until you get around 125 mph then rocket again until 225 mph, again, cruise a while. once you get to about 100 mph then drop your resistance to 0% and gain a lil speed drop your altitude to about 20 ft. until you have a lil bit of speed then with your last rockets boost some altitude so you can "flare" (hangliding term) until you get to 6000 ft... well hope that helps someone... =]

In all honesty, with near fully upgraded ramp, acceleration, and air resistance, you need the best glider and the second best rocket pack. You can make it if you use some of the strategies already described. As previously said, 16 days is quite possible.

how to get 6000 feet=
you basically have to buy every single upgrade in the game. never use your rocket when around the critical speed zone, and try not to go above 4% air resistance.

to get the 6000 feet award be on 3% every time (just go up a little if you're too close to water) then use your rocket wisely

I hate this game!!! I got on it on the 18th day and I took off and got flying and i got out to 5,900 feet then it got up to 5,990ish feet and the computer stopped my guy fell in the water and he stopped at 5,999 feet!!! on the 18th day!! It was like he hit a wall... =[ there goes 30 points...

I came up with this easy strategy for 7000+:
*Go to 3% resistance immediatly after takeoff. Then keep that angle for the rest of the flight.
*Simply make sure to stay between 150-200 speed untill you run out of fuel.
*Now dont do anything AT ALL and you WILL reach 7000.

Just done it in 16 days, how I'm not sure, previous best was 22! In the early rounds I managed to get the speed and distance points on the same day, I think that may have been the key.
