A good way to get to 6000+ feet is to start to climb at about 40-45 degrees up using your rocket. When you've got about 1/4 of your fuel left, level out and gain speed. You should be going at about 170-180+ speed. Then coast at 0% resistance keeping your speed high. When you drop to about ~80 altitude, dip down slightly to gain speed and pull up not letting your speed drop below ~110. Try to reach 150 or 160 speed. Coast carefully from there at about 0-2% resistance depending on altitude/speed. Adjust as needed.

For 6000 you should think of your craft as containing energy. Your energy is stored in two things: your altitude, and your speed. You can convert altitude to speed and speed to altitude, but this is an inefficient process that causes energy loss.
So, from this viewpoint, the best thing to do would be to just switch to angle 0 and coast until you lose all energy, right? Not so fast. Your tier 3 glider can only go up to 200 before it starts bleeding off velocity. So speed is a poor store of energy. This means you will have to use altitude as a store of energy, which means you'll have to rise to an arbitrary height, then dip down to regain speed.

And after a gazillion tries: Congratulations! You just won the Around the World in 18 Days Badge and 30 points! (18 exact. Could be 17, but a miscalculation lead to 5990 feet XD)

Congratulations! You just won the Achieving the Impossible Badge and 15 points!
Believe in yourself to achieve your ultimate dream – Wait, no, that's not the moral of this game at all. How depressing.

Salemsabre I tried what you said and got a measly 2703 feet it's nearly impossible to get 6000 feet my best is 5863 but it's really hard to accomplish.
