well look at this page - one person says it's too easy, and another says it's too hard. This is why it's difficult making games!

what the heck! its almost impossible to get a clean race. the other cars are always knocking everything over so there are things all over the track! and trying to finish the race without leaving the track is also super difficult!

I understand where you're coming from, but strange as it may seem, with this game the focus isn't on winning races, but instead its about getting a high score. Yeah, you need to win races to unlock events, but getting a high score is where the design was really focused.
I know it's an unusual approach, but hey, why not :-)
We might do a straight out and out racer game though - that would be great.

Hey Long, I'm glad to see you're reading comments. My favorite thing about this game - and I *really* like it a lot - is the skid physics. They're really good and a lot of fun to control. The thing I like least is the difficulty. It's very easy to win races. Getting all the accomplishments isn't very easy, though, which keeps bringing me back! Great game, though!

on event 6, it says finish in 1.39 ... what does that mean? I've finished in first place several times, but still haven't gotten it. I thought it may mean exactly 139 seconds, so I waited at the finish once and crossed at something like 139.07... still nothing. I can get all the "finish in ..." achievements for the other events (only other one I can't get is 200 skid). Good start to what can be a great game!

We've got a few ideas for sequels - we'll have to wait to see what most people like about this before choosing a direction.
You do know that you can get sort of hit-object combos in this, right? If you're going for a high score you'll have to do just that - hit a long line of objects whilst skidding - the points go up for each one you hit!
Engine sound is particularly difficult in Flash, as you can't alter sound playing back in real time, so we thought it best to stick with music.
Oh, and you should see this engine working with 40 cars at once! :-)

Long, I have an idea to make this even better (even if it's my favorite flash driving game allready). Ditch the complicated challenges and make this game into a combo-freak heaven. Like dolphin olympics. You could make skidding less likely to throw you outside the track and into a wall, then it would be possible to build maaad combos. hitting a wall would break a combo. hitting stuff and cars would raise multiplyer. skidding would also raise multiplyer. hitting stuff WHILE skidding would give double points. This way you could chain combos like in dolphin olympics. Like: cone x 3 + skid + jump + skidjump + snowman x 3...and so on. Also: more crashable stuff on track! It's an awesome engine and I think it can handle some more. One more thing would be a decent engine sound but it's probably hard to get it right.

5/5 i like the game play alot better than sand strom racer by FARRRR i like that theres not map while your raceing so you can know befor you go into a turn all in all i like this game alot hope it gets badges

stupidguy, i thought yo ucould change your car color from light to dark - and anything inbetween - just click on the colors in the choose car screen.

It's great! I have a tip for the game, also. Feel free to ignore me. For changing the car colors, make it so you can change it from brighter to darker colors. My car is a faint color, so, yeah. Still, 5/5!

I would like the ability to change cars later in the game so we don't have to race the same one. That would be nice. =)

Sadly, it's not the best. it's a good race game, but some things make it's not the best.
Upgrades were fine, only comment on that is taht I simply kept playing level 1 and 2 until I had enough cash to upgrade both accell and top speed, and the rest of the levels were cake. I think it'd be better to reward players with the position they are + finishing a particular race.
for example : Race 1
1st Position = 1000$
2nd position : 500$
3rd position : 250$
Race 2
1st position = 1500$
etc.
another "bad" point is recycling. Levels in this kind of games often get repetitive, but I saw the second snow level was the same as the first, except we drove in the other direction. Don't do that, it's a lack of originality in my opinion...
overall, it's a GOOD racing game, but not the best.

You're right, BlightedArt, but it gets annoying after a while, when people can't be constructive, and complain, about a game which they are playing for FREE! :-)

I enjoyed this game. Ignore the nay-sayers unless they have more constructive feedback LongAnimals. "It sucks" is hardly worth taking into account if those people don't back it up with what they disliked / think could be fixed up with the game. The drifting was good, the music is cool, and the nostalgia of Micro Machines on my Megadrive is almost palpable. Very fun.

This game sucked real hard, sorry. When I read in the description "We hope we’ve made one of the best Flash racing games available", I was excited. Little did I know, this is ironically the worst racing game I've played ever.
