For people who ask if the CPU ever runs out of money the answer is yes. For those who thinks if the CPU runs out of money you are wrong. if i was the CPU i would put all ion rays and summon everything until the player dies.

4 ion cannons are the best you can just walk away and not even worry of being over run and even send out a few ultimate warriors

For a successful win, play hard until you get to the stage with the churches. Then, save for the best turret and a new turret spot. Continue until you have 4 turrets, evolving when neccesary. Then, you should update the turrets based on your age, using specials if needed (which they won't be). Then, once you have 4 IonCannons, you save up about 450,000 if you want to go out with a bang. This will pay for 4 super soldiers. The result? Win. Nice game too 5/5. Vote this up guys so other people will see =]

i left to go shopping for christmas gifts and i left this going and when i came back it said i had a bunch of money but sometimes it will say u win

You can consistently win in the Age Of Sail, because Cannoneers are small. Send teams of two Cannoneers then three Musketeers; use your special, if at all, when just down to one cannoneer in the leading team.

I got knocked down to 4 health, and somehow ended up winning :P
Amazing game, but I like the sequel more, for the strategic value
