Under rating threshold (show) I built a total of 1 unit in every age, mainly relying on turrets, and the enemy still got enough experience to upgrade to the next age before me, despite not having units to kill.

Under rating threshold (show) speaking of which, get the double turrets in stage 3, 3 of them, and you don't need to do anything for the rest of the game. 3rd stage is the hardest. all others are no problems at all.
