goes to tutorial and then the thief "breaks a lock" and the barbarian does "deft jumping", shouldn't it be the oppposite way :/

THE COLORS ARE IN THE WRONG ORDER AGAIN! This drove me nuts in the first game, and does here too. Seriously, in a game all about adjacent colors, why isn't purple between red and blue, and green between blue and yellow? My brain keep rebelling and mis-remembering the order.

I managed to finish the Witch King (purple) in location 2 without lifting the curse. I missed the medalion in pirate caves, so I just took a lot of food and potions.

The game doesn't save often enough. Was away for a few minutes, deep into a level, and of course the game glitches up when logging back into my OS, level progress lost.

There is plenty of gameplay here, hawk your wares all you like. But running away should have a chance to not work, unless you throw some gold pieces at the enemy as a distraction [shouldn't take many except for bosses maybe].

@abyssoft, the chest allows for the exact number of moves necessary to complete open it. Every move should put one piece into it's correct location

FUdge yEAH! I haven't played it yet but Ive wanted a sequel since forever. I know what I'm gonna be doing for the next few hours

2 main points of improvement - 1. Make food recipes permanent once you've cooked them so they can just be permanently equipped. All the grinding and cooking for them is boring and getis in the way of the game.
2. Don't raise the mana costs for the spells.
If you do those 2 simple things you'll have a 5/5 game as it is 3.5/5

I loved the first game and hoped the second would be just as great ... but it is not balanced. People on the forum complain about the need to grind endlessly and that the cost of spells becomes higher when it should become less later on ... and all the devs reply is: Use food and potions (... you noobs)!
BUT: 1.To buy useful potions you need to grind madly and
2. Food is useless - better restart fights for free till you get a decent board. Of course every restart uses up the food, so no need to bother: Just sell food!
The new multicoloured heroes are weird because you NEED the old ones to commence - paladin and monk are the only 2 you can swap. More spells of 1 colour would also make the spells even less affordable which brings me back to the main problem (like many said before me): Spells do get a little better but the mana cost becomes worse, so usually I do wish for the lesser effect for less mana ... SOLVE THAT(!!!) because endless grinding to afford potions is NO FUN!

I like this game, but I'm not going to keep putting my character cards back into their characters every single time I log out of the game.

The red and green for colour blind people is hard to differentiate between. Maybe put the symbols on the gems and monsters too?

I've noticed that every time I come back to my saved game, all of the cards slots for my characters are blank. It's a bit irksome.

There's a recurring bug where heroes will just stop attacking, mid-fight; forcing me to flee the battle and lose my progress.

Animation is a definite improvement over the previous and therte's a lot more exploration which is GREAT, but this one could definitely use a LOT more explanation. Like, how do you use Interrupt and what is an enemy bookmark? If you select a block that has a blood drop that dose damage to you, are you supposed to lose all attack points for the character of that colour or is that a bug because the text says nothing about losing the points, just that you'll take damage. There's a lot more, but I can't remember them all atm.

Well that makes twice now that I've completed level 8 and the game doesn't save my progress. I guess there's no point in playing anymore. Too bad, I was having fun.

What's up with level 8? Any time I open a chest on level 8 with a key the game freezes for a while and doesn't give me any rewards, although it uses the key. In addition, I finished level 8 completely, then came back the next day and all of my progress was lost. Plus, I can't seem to exit the level! Something's borked.

I think this game is seriously overcooked right now. I loved the original--it's one of my favorites. There was so much strategy--the order of attack, skills chosen for the heroes, purchasable powerups, timing of mana attacks, treasure chests, plus all of the Match-3 strategy, including the wrinkle of the first/second tier of monsters. For me, that is the right amount of challenging elements. This version has some nice new elements (quests are fun), some unnecessary elements (sneaking up on the monsters to reduce them by 50%), and then some totally bizarre, REALLY unnecessary elements (like finding and cooking food). All of these things slow down the momentum of the game's essence (i.e., the elements of the original game). Also, the treasure chest solve seems more repetitive and less fun, it is easy to get bogged down with useless cards and too many choices, and pathing through the levels is sometimes weirdly confusing. Shore up the fundamentals before adding all of the tangents.
