I find it impressive that just 15 years after it first came out in a form which often required memory reconfigurations in DOS to get the game to work, using the entire resources of the computer to do so, we have reached the stage where it is playable in its entirety in a flash script window, whilst your computer multitasks the gods themselves know how many other programs. At the same time of course, this gives all the little ones who missed Doom in its heyday, the chance to see where first person shooters came from. This, more than Wolfenstein, changed everything in the games industry, and gave us first person perspective 3D as mainstream.

" Also doesn't work in linux flash player. Lame."
Hum yeah, it works, you just have to update it to the last version, you probably have an older build. At least, the game works fine here under linux.

Have you played Doom 1 entirely? Because I have noticed a secret that's not here in your flash version. (Level 1: Room left of where you start, there is a button on the right pole)

@rareibis: This is from the game Doom 1 (and Ultimate Doom too, but that is just Doom 1, 2, and expansions). And, episode 1 was released as Shareware. This means it may me copied and all that without having to pay anything to ID.

This game is a cheap rip-off of the dos classic "Ultimate Doom." This is obviously a breach of copyright law as it contains trademarks of Id Software Inc.
