Great game because of how polished it is. Sure, it could use more depth or a story but this is a one-man shop.
I look forward to the next installment. Add some special features that cost like $5-$10 and I'll buy them to show support.

Left the game run idle for a while and after I came back I couldn't rotate the camera with the right mouse button. It doesn't work even after I restarted the game.

This is really an awesome game! Here are my suggestion\fixes:
- The text of the Dual recharger says "duEl"
- 0 could be toggleable (activate\deactivate all modules)
- maybe pirates could drop ammunition and missiles
- an active module that allow auto mining (mine until the cargo is full and then sell it to the nearest station)
- an hyperdrive motor to jump in the desired solar system
- maybe more sinergy between fuel and energy: like a module using fuel to recharge very quickly the energy
pirates do drop ammo sometimes, to do that mining thing, just select a few rock, and then add a station to the list (SHIFT CLICK) then autotarget... it will mine all rocks and return to station, must have enough cargo space.

I think it's better if you can list the objects in your own order, not by distance, because there are times where I am mining a dynex asteroid then the auto targeting targets the adamyte next.

This game is amazing! Absolutely awesome, it gives games like E.V.E online a run for their money. Just one thing, more ships, bigger ones. However this is an amazing game! Keep up the good work!

I've found a glitch were at the 8th galaxy there were there are two portals to the 9th one, and once i entered the 9th one, there were only 2 portals to the 8th galaxy and none going to the 10th one, Is this normal?

The save bug seems to be fixed. Thanks. I like the extended version. Even with all the settings at "3" it's really tough to even get into the mid levels. The warp jumps that skip levels are fun too. Great job.

can you ask kongregate if they can host a server for some sort of multy-player version of this game ? ( with some respawnable asteroids ) but without some huge pay to win things ? or little to none at all ?

First of all, I have to agree with everyone else that this is an awesome game. Your enthusiasm clearly shows with the game progression and development @momoguru !! A suggestion for a money sink and to add some variability to ships in that there is a small range to base stats that may randomly appear for each ship being sold in a port. This range can also get bigger depending on the ship type I guess. Also, you could have different ship levels like weapons, being normal, rare, or epic find (with the chances of getting these much lower than weapons and according to system level). I think these might help with overall gameplay as well.

BTW, Momoguru, the 40-system game is great! As my third playthrough, been going through one system at a time, getting some awesome rare items. Nice thing is the enemies don't get too hard too fast, like in the 10-system game. IMO the 40-system game is actually more balanced in terms of combat, as you have time to get better gear before facing the toughest enemies.
One comment about the 40-system game though - there's way too much money! I have over $1M at system 25 and I haven't mined asteroids since I got my carrier back on system 10. You should probably either decrease the awards for killing bosses (last one got me over 50K), or else increase the costs of items. Money does seem quite easy to acquire at this point. The only thing preventing me from getting the best items is I made them really rare.

drast35, there are plenty of "idle" games out there if you want a game that will play itself. Auto-target already almost does too much work. IMO.

Would it be possible to enable the use of afterburners even if your target is within range? Sometime I just want to "get the hell out of there". Other times I'm doing strafing runs, and it would be great to be able to do quick passes of my targets, unload weapons, and then let them reload before returning back to unload weapons again.

So after the first ten sectors there isn't a main pirate to defeat? Maybe I'm doing something wrong but after the first ten, they always just come back. Also, the objective of killing all ten pirate officers is something I've done, but it still shows up on the objectives. Am I doing something wrong or are those just not something you can clear? Any help would be appreciated. Amazing game! 5/5

I really wish the modules you own sorted by the order they appear in shops, rather than the order you bought them in. I'm just OCD enough to be annoyed at the fact that my afterburner sits in between all my mining lasers, but not enough to sell them all and rebuy.

Nice game 5/5 from me. One request maybe a ! indicator of sorts on tabs in dock to be used as reminder to sell to refinery.

As someone who prefers to maintain a certain 'control scheme' (ex., 1/2 for mining modules, 3/4 for beams, etc.,) I would appreciate if the active modules would stop putting themselves in the same order whatever order you equipped them in. The first equipped module should go in slot 1, the second in slot 2, the third in slot 3, etc., rather than in the order they were acquired.
select only the rocks u want to mine, and 1 station, then turn autotarget on and mining lasers. if your cargo hold is big enough, it will mine the rocks, and head to the station automatically :)
i loved hw, how i got the guru on my name :) from the guru clan with chewy. i specifically tried to make a music track that had that ethnic violin like hw. i heard hw3 is coming :) hw shipward or something like that. peep this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWBJMwNgTQ8

Absolutely amazing adding the varies kill objectives. The trade is still too easily exploited I feel though. At the very beginning I can mine a couple of times and then go to various sectors until I can exploit a sizable trade difference and then amass 100's of thousands in relatively short time, all without ever battling anyone. So, while I'm not sure how popular it will be among those who love to do what I just mentioned, I think if pirates are guarding a warp gate, you shouldn't be able to use it / can't use a warp gate if under attack. This would increase slightly the difficulty at the beginning in exploiting the trade system
the default galaxy is EASY mode, try fooling with the galaxy editor... you will find it very challenging. you can set up the shops so that the prices variance is small, and tuff to make money with trading. i like the locked warp gate idea :) i may just do that as another galaxy option.

What is the drop rate of equipment from bosses? I beat the game once, and only had 2 drops, on lvl 5 and 10. What determines the drops?

It'll be good if autopilot can automatically engage afterburners. I leave the game on autoaim mining for ten minutes not touching the game, and I would like to speed up the process by using afterburners I bought but have to manually click them.

Just as an idea, maybe the numbers, like 1-2-3-4 etc, could activate your ship modules? So instead of clicking your weapons, for Ex. Lazers, you could press 1 and 2 and it would turn them on?

Expand on the basic idea, make this a full game with a galaxy on scale with later Elite parts, sell it on Steam, and you'll be a millionaire soon. Just add more variety with the enemies. Just pirates flying the same ship as the player gets tedious after a while.
i plan on adding a crap load of new stuff, and even new weapon types, module buffs, and as many ships as i can stand to model :) although im not opposed to making money from this, it was never a motivating factor. i would rather just give the game away (full version dl) and accept donations.

Holy crap now that's more like it! Crank up the Pirate spawn rate in options and MAN they get aggressive! Love this!! :D

I think we should find projectiles and missiles everywhere and they should not be used as job but as ammo because I had to go from 7th galaxy to 3rd galaxy to have 500 missiles and come back to 7th to fight pirates! If you don't like that? fine at least you can make it to at least one station per galaxy where I find both ammo.

Great game. Thought it was well done. Couple of suggestions. When the tutorial is over and the 10 officers are killed, the objective still remains in the upper left corner.
After I defeated everyone there was no way to achieve the "kill 1000 pirates" pin. and the "kill all pirates" pin never registered.
i changed the galaxy editor to default respawn to TRUE if you select kill 1000 pirates. if you dont have that option selected, you will need to farm pirates by NOT killing the officers and just warping out and in to get more pirates infinitely

Playing with the custom settings, I noticed an odd bug. When you set it to 1 station per system, it does exactly that. But if you set it to n stations per system (n being any number 2-5), it puts a maximum of n-1 stations per system. I think one of your for loops has an off-by-one error.

It's better to format the price factor numbers of a staion to 3 digits, ex: 0.97. Also please format the number in news to the same number precision.

Two things that are slightly bugging me about the game (otherwise its perfect)
1. When resetting a zone going into a shop doesn't allow the enemies to respawn you have to leave and come back which means you then get damaged. (although this may mean that entering the shop will either rebuild the area or to put the zone reset button inside the shop anyway to confirm that the player is away from the area)
2. When entering the shop or new area it would be nice to allow autosaves, I've been so busy at times I've forgotten and lost hours of playtime because of a small mistake in fighting. (or to move the button onto the main GUI)
Other than that I love the 3D ships and the use of the whole axis X, Y and Z, I think the ability to rotate your ship clockwise and counter clockwise would be a great help for fighting and navigation.
Once again this is great and I hope you can keep it free and updated so I can play it long in the future.
would you be using chrome by chance? i am finding documentation online about chrome being a little whore about browser saves from unity webplayer. PM me

Absolutely fantastic game! Really reminds me of caravaneer, speaking of which, have you ever thought of implementing an optional food and water requirement? Either way I hope to see badges soon.
