Massive bug. I played last night, came on to play today, and I'd lost all my research. There's also no delete save file, so it would be extra grindy to get that back. Ruined what was already only a moderately fun game.

I used to love bloons, and never bothered by a little grinding, its all in the fun! But this felt so unrewarding. Progression was so slow, the reaserch wasn't too clear with what works with what, the coin collection system upgrade made little difference when you have to move around so mucn (not a surpise since you clearly want people to spend insane amounts on a flash game!) Sorry but just didn't feel fun to me at all this time again 1/5, I'd give it 0 if I could :S

A simple yet highly addicting game with plenty of content to last for several days. I can see a lot of work went into designing the art, as well as the bloon formations (I absolutely ADORE the squids and spiders) However, my one peeve is the whole blue blops system..this is a cause of grief for many players, who complain about the RPG-esque grinding required to complete the game. Simply remove the blue blops, and replace the red blops percentage with a Total Popped percentage, and you've got yourself a fantastic game, NinjaKiwi. Also, I'd like to point out that it is much better to be humble when asking for donations.

The best way to enjoy this game is to play through the levels till you get stuck. Then start up a level, position the monkey, and go do something else while the level plays. Repeat until you have enough money for an upgrade and then try again. Also, pick three different things for your weapon. I went dart, bomb for arms and laser for middle. It's actually pretty awesome. This also limits how much grinding you need to do since you can just upgrade those weapons and research to negate their weaknesses. Thus you game the system and it's not a terrible game.

So i went to play this on my faster computer, and all the upgrades before my currently equipped upgrades are locked. Any way to fix that?

HARD BADGE OBTAINED. Finally I'm free of the idle background-grinding and constant moneygrubbing. Nicely-designed game, but really, you're kinda pushing it.

grinding is ok...but this game makes from "grinding" a farce. it ruins a nice game completely, if you don't pay and no intelligent person should pay for such a bullshit!

A pathetic attempt to get money from people. The grinding is way beyond tedious. It's ok to get less money on the first few levels but in the latter you can't make 1000 coins and the ultimate upgrade is over 30000!!! It's not worth the time and the effort. Better off with something else.

Normally i would have gived this 3/5 since it's a decent games, but because you guys are so greedy i drop the score to 2/5.
I don't give 1/5, because at least you guys didnt make exclusive contents for peoples who spend money on your games.

It's really not like the first run through a level w/ all the red blops counting as one gives us such a huge amount of cash, especially for the later upgrades. Making blue ones count as one third of a point is ridiculous. Half a point each I could deal w/, albeit a little displeased, but as is, it's unbelievably more grind than fun. 1/5.

I for one enjoy this game. Excellent graphics and bloons have always meant some grinding. Perhaps you're doing it wrong?

The powerup modes absolutely suck unless you've (wait for it) put a lot of cash into research. I got a powerup that made me spew explosives all over the place, just before getting to a section with nothing but black bloons. Nerfed me to nothing.

For all the grinding you need to do to beat the last level (which I didn't really mind, FWIW) there really ought to be some sort of ending.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is it supposed to not remember what upgrades you've purchased after a close/reload? Right now I'm sitting at the same money I left but in order to upgrade beyond what I'm at, I have to rebuy every upgrade before it. And all the research I've done is gone too. Pretty effin sweet...

Man, it would be REALLY nice if we could get ANY help on where the last few red blots are in a level. I'd be happy to get no blue blots (and thus, not see them or be confused) if only I could actually FIND the last few red ones.

Attempt #23 at bloons dunes 5, maybe the 600 blops I earn from this attempt will be enough to beat it on attempt #24!

I dunno why people complain about this game being too laggy or grindy, but its really fun and just replay levels that give you the most blops.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For everybody who thinks the game is laggy -- you just didn't buy the super "Precision Flight" anti-lag upgrade, suckers

That being said this game is far from perfect and there are major flaws in their design. 1. The grind is hard (but not difficult, you just have to understand which one to prioritize in upgrades and research) - I did the full upgrades in about 5 hours total (deep sea stage 5 * rinse and repeat). some of the reasons why people may have found it bad is that there is no "survival" mode that will at least challenge you for earning your points / money. Your magnet doesn't affect the power ups. There is no preview of your "super power". And there's no challenge / consequence to the stage except for not meeting your quota on killing balloons. overall - the game isn't bad. You can see the effort they put into the game but it just feels a little rushed or poorly thought off in some ways.
**Worst point - Don't make a game like this and NOT TELL YOUR USERS that you have to STAY ONLINE.

At the heart of this game, there's a neat little time-waster of a shooter. Unfortunately, the overly long grinding, the pay-to-win option and the constant hard-sell leaves me with a game that should have been great but has had all the fun and charm of earlier NinjaKiwi games monetized out of it.

Right, NatsirtS, because no one is allowed to critique anything unless they can outdesign it. By that logic, I can't make any comment about Phelps' swimming prowess unless I have a world record.

As much as I love the Bloons series, this game is just a clear attempt to drain a few more bucks out of people. It seems that they intentionally made the amount of grinding ridiculous to force people to PAY for the upgrades rather than play the same level 900 times. I have no real objection to games having premium content. I DO however have an objection to a "game" (loosely speaking) which is solely made for the purpose of getting people to spend money. Next time make sure your "game" is actually fun THEN add premium content. I am not in the habit of paying for badges. I would suggest correcting course, NinjaKiwi, before you lose the fanbase you have so tediously earned.

Typical internet vomiting going on here. The comments section on this game has sadly regressed into a negative spiral of rage.
Indeed, the top (tier 7) upgrades are difficult to achieve without spending real money, however the hard badge is easily within reach for free with tier 6 and lower.
I got the badge myself myself without throuble with 2 spikey balls equipped on the arms(tier 6) and dual blast on the core(tier 4).
Granted it'll take some time and you'll have to grind some levels. However it's not supposed to be easy to get a hard badge, and I had a lot of fun destroying hundreds of thousands of bloons on the way.

Why is everyone complaining about this game? Yeah it has a lot of grind, but if you don't like it why cant you just go and play something else? the cost of the epics and such might be expensive but you don't have to buy them. Its a good game and if you think it sucks then why don't YOU go and make something better.
