I'm not so sure about that. I believe everything has it's specialty. I'm doing now the blue map with 2 ways.
On the beginning I put 2 tack-towers. Right now at level 40, I've 12 blade towers. They are very good, but when it has to face a ship, it will lose. Those blades will just hit it 1 time, and normally every blade will hit 3 or more balloons. In that case it is good. For destroying ships you need super monkies I think. But there's one bad thing... the price... The price of 1 unupgrades super monkey is just as high as 4 fully upgrades blade towers. If you check out how many balloons a super monkey can pop, or how many 4 blade towers can pop. Same counts for other things. Those glaive throwers is much more expensive.

Still the best TD game made. Design, difficulty and implementation are astounding. Wish they were all this good and not blatant ripoffs of WC3TDM.

man i remember when i was a year younger and i thought this game was awesome now it seems like its only for babies who enjoy the sight of popping baloons and stupid monkeys

I solve all maps except the 8th with the same technique: Build up three of the tack shooters at smart poistions and then build only cannons until the first MOAB has passed by. After that build the monkey beacon and fill in cannons until the end. Works pretty good for me.

Oh, something shoots in me head. If there is coming a next version, I hope to see much more upgrades. It is not going to be easy, because you don't have much on a even larger range, so it should be something else. Increasing speed, but for speed you have the super monkey. But still, it is an idea.
Maybe something like earning experience points. Like 'Pop Count' but then in experience. Then making an overview of speed, damage (pop balloons per shoot), range. And when the monkey increases a level, you can click on the icon before/after the speed/damage/range and then it will increase those things.

I got to level 59. I could have been to level 60 but I was careless. I knew it was going to be hard so I put a lot spikes on the last part of the map. But it wasn't ennough and before I could take action, 70 balloons finished the map.

I got to level 4 something and still haven't got the first badge...says Best so far: 19
Again, I'm on 22, no lives lost and same story? Odd

55 is impossible, 5 of that f*cking flying things,even monkey strm dont kill them,i got 3 supermonkeys,2 plasma's and one dart(supermonkey) and all the towers fully upgraded,its impossible!!

i found a glitch,if you set a boomerang monkey close by the way,and if he not trows,the balloons explode,even faster then a supermonkey,try it.(i dit it on the brown level,the leftcorner.

the way u get 50 hard lvls witout losing a life is easy just make cannons and use alot of tacks and bam u got it i just did it a second ago

weird genius...tht would be way too easy of a game....you could just get a bunch of those, and it would be no stragety.... terrible idea no offense
