Anyone else experienced this?: 4th "map" (the one with two entrances)..at lvl 45 I no longer had the option to send the next wave...seems like a glitch to me.

Here's a tip to defeating the "ships" that come later on...(The first one comes at level 37 on normal). You'll want to have a strong enough "defense" at the beginning so that you can "defeat" the ship (releasing lots of loaded bloons)...and importantly...you want the 2nd half of the track prepared to defeat those bloons.
Get the Monkey Beacon, and as soon as you can, upgrade to the Monkey Storm...and always make sure you have enough at unlead this attack - it will save you from losing! Just make sure to always have 1020 available to "buy" it.
Keep in mind that "upgrades are key"...meaning that one fully upgraded unit is more powerful/useful then 3/4+ basic units spread out. Focus on upgrading current units before rushing to place new ones.
Make use of "Target" options. "Last" targets the "back of the line, and therefore units in range of the start tend to focus on the Starting point (last/most recent bloons). This can be key to defeating metal bloons -lvl 20+ - and ships.

hmm. my game got stuck on round 47 medium; there are no more enemy balloons, but there's no next level button either. if it's relevant, the last bloon i destroyed was a black that i froze first.

I frickin love this. Today I was thinking to myself it would be cool if there was a Bloons Tower Defense 3. Lo and behold I logged into kongregate and its on the frontpage!

brilliant, except that plasma monkeys own all... selling your startup monkeys for plasma hurlers is a good strategy... since 3 popped balloons is like nothing on lvl 50, and then bombs also become ineffective, as well as spiked balls... plasma monkey+tower FTW

Um, wow. Super monkey + speed boosting satellite = MASSIVE BALLOON SLAUGHTER! And that's before the laser/plasma vision...

If it could get badges there would be a scores tab, but there is none, so no badges :(

yea got up to level 58 and got killed by like 20 blimps and like 50 brown bloons and like 1000s of yellow to red blooons, hot dang i got totalled cause i ran outta money for pinapples rofl, but the plasma vision super monkey kicks ass. 5/5 this game rocks
