Games like this that have the "pay to play" sort of thing are really defeating the purpose of "Kongregate: Free Online Games". Although I can see why they want to get some profit from it, uploading it to a free game site like Kongregate was a pretty poor move.

BUG: "Fast Forward" Doesn't accelerate the boomerang thrower's projectile, but does shorten its "lifespan," so holding "fast-forward" will make boomerang throwers less effective (as their weapons will only complete part of an arc before 'disappearing,' and they don't accelerate proportionately to the fast-forwarded bloons).

Thought the frist 3 games in the series blew hardcore, this one lots of fun...and anyone remember the good old days when Kreds were for tips....Not this BS where to get content on a free flash game site we need to pay, not cool Kon not cool

Starts getting pretty tricky on hard mode, although some of the problems you find yourself faced with are rather underhand for a tower defense game; fast moving balloons slipping through a gap in your defenses' firing cycle is perhaps forgivable (since it at least encourages you to diversify); less so is when the majority of your towers throw attacks at a balloon which is immune to them, whilst you have no way of directing those towers that CAN damage the balloon.

mna kreds are the stupidest things ive heard of. if i wanted to pay to play an online game with full upgrades, i would find one better than the ones on kong. I mean really.

well btd 4 doesn't just sell for kong, and the game is playable without paying, the original btd 4 site you had to pay as well

Goodness people, is it really so unreasonable to try and make money for these games? It's not like they become unplayable or anything. For those who want more, you can get more. For those who want a free flash game, that's here too.

I wouldn't mind the kreds so much if it didn't keep telling me everytime I lose that if I had only spent some money on (insert paid ability here) I might have won..

Great game, as usual! But I do agree to some degree with all the other comments. Kreds are fine, as long as they are not able to be required by games.. This one was fine, where Kreds just jumped you ahead in the game, but I think this is just barely on the good side of that fine line.

Your game would be rated higher if you took all your good ideas and made them free, instead of charging people money that would end up costing more than 3months worth of WoW subscription, Id rather play 3months of WoW than blow up balloons better for 2hrs

@ Everyone complaining about KREDS ruining Kongregate, the money goes to the developers. So, without KREDS the developers aren't gaining money from the hard work they put into the game. I think KREDS are a great idea.

Random fact: The Blade Shooter doesn't actually pop two balloons, although two blades can pop the same balloon.
Incidentally, people, this game seems to have recieved some optimizations between when it debuted on NinjaKiwi and when it made its way here. And remember, the extra items were also payfers on NinjaKiwi, only you used Mochi Media creds instead of Kongregate creds.

Im disappointed in Kong for allowing pay to actually have fun in the game. I thought kong was a revenue for gamers and developers. Not, pay 10$ to play a flash game that gets boring after four hours. 1/5, thats just terrible!

The only thing that slows this game down for me is when I place wayyy too many airplanes. I was on wave 105ish on the first map on beginner and had very minimal/undistracting lag since i only had 4 planes in the air.

it's all well and good to complain about Kreds, but where were you people when this game had no badges? No where to be found. You're only complaining because you want the badges to be easier but you can't unless you pay for Kreds.

To be honest, BTD4 sold out before it came to kongregate. It just changed its currency to kreds, but overall this is is becoming worse and worse with kreds and the MMO's constant front page promotion

Funny how you can't get the hard badge w/o kreds. Kong is slowly becoming a 'pay-to-play' site, and I won't pay-to-play.

great game, really makes me wanna spend 100 dollars to get everything! not! the kred are a piece of junk, and I loved it when Kongregate wasn't a money grubbing site. 4/5 - for the quality, not the kreds -

Contrary to what the game says, multiple layers can be removed from a balloon by not only the Bloon Buster Mortar, but also the Blade Shooter.
