like the game, hate the randomness. the shop is one of the harder things. only 2 items and most of the time they are way above your level, can't use or 2 of the same. the refresh is expensive and still 2 items. suggestion: expand to at least 3 items.

The gravity gun is the best gun in the game. It deals amazing damage, mine is doing 350-400 in a very large area of damage. I think its over powered. Just have some quick shooting friends backing you up.

RedSky: the gravity gun shots a ball of energy that moves in a straight line and deal omfg damage on everything that touches, killing almost anything in its path. BUT it has only 1 shot and it completly reloads only after the energy ball leaves the screen. So, use your normal weapon, switch to gravity gun when you need massive damage (like bosses), then switch back. Its recharge is so slow, you probably will be able to shot only once, although it's great to kill the boss (even when he's using the shield).
To get extra APs, raise your "Active" skill, higher it is, more APs you can get (but it's random, you may get none, you may get few APs. I got 5 AP once, with Active 5).
Drifta: yes, you still get the achievements even in casual mode.

So far I've made it to level 50 with a Hunter. At that point my crossbow just doesn't deal enough damage! (And I need that xbow to kill the tanks, balltista, etc.)
Question: has anyone used the gravity gun? How is it? I gave it to a flunky, he would do strange things with it and shoot very slow.
Question: How to get extra APs? I have an extra random 1, but I crave more!

cool game... biggest issue I have with it is that it needs to give much greater weight to weapons in the shop THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE. I shouldn't have to play to level 10 and still be on the starting gun for my class because the shop refuses to stock any rifles.

The second 4 classes are earned by getting each individual starter class to level 10. so far i got ranger from hunter class.

Starting off, get lots of dinners with AP and trainers with money for XP to level up fast and get the classes' achievements

I suspect much of the frustration over this game stems from it being from a different game culture. From Wikipedia:
"The roguelike is a sub-genre of role-playing video games, characterized by randomization for replayability, permanent death..."
In this context, many of the aspects that people (myself included) find frustrating make sense. That said, it may be a good idea to try to make concessions to the part of the audience who does not belong to a roguelike gaming culture.

easiest way to beat the game is use a rogue with laser pistol(hard to get but worth it)and always train small guns, do the same with your party.this is a shooting game weapon power is everything.i made to to day 110 using henchmen once. after day 50 it dont gt much harder

best profession is hunter.
Best weapons are crossbow as they reload instantanly and can shoot many enemies with one bolt or damage multiple times a large mob.
Get companios QUICK, they are very usefulls, also chickens give many little long term inversion unless you have the skill Breeder.
Little sisters are useless
restart many times so to start the game again with your awards (if you get to lvl 20, you get a starting bonus of 300, for ex.)

Esperlin: Blacksmiths do sell mods and weapons, look into upgrading the shop. Gold is easy to earn if you invest in the economy (chickens/museum, etc.) Bosses have the right amount of hp, look for guns that are good vs. armor and don't waste your time shooting at them when they're using a shield, they're fine. There is an upgrade for extra AP: active and some achievements. Henchmen are fine, they're a crutch when you need it for a few days, it's not meant nor needed to carry you the entire game. Sisters are crazy powerful, they don't need to respawn, just buy more if you want it to last the whole day.

i think you're all wrong Esperlin, i'm at level 25 and havn't used a henchman... also if you keep using a henchman you wont have enough money to buy the upgrades that you will need to survive

i am at day 65
easy once you figure out the finance.
I could hire the henchman every day if I wanted to without getting too deep a hit at the bottomline becozI have 122 chickens.
Don't make this game too easy!!

I didn't have a problem with day 40 as much as getting to it. it is the last day before the game sorta starts over with increased difficulty though. Plus it unlocks the elonia badge (which doesn't seem to do anything but counts as a badge for the museum)

Here's a summary of improvements, Blacksmith sells BOTH MODs and WEAONs. Gold are more relatively easier to earn. Repairmen could repair the Castle DURING gameplay. Limit the number of monster that could spawn on the map. Bosses have WAY TOO MUCH HP and with the uses of shield, they are over-powered, nerf them. Make a new system like an upgrade that allows you to gain extra APs. Henchmen should only take 30% of reward. 50% is too much of a scam since we need him after Lv15. Sisters should RESPAWN instead of a limited fixed number being 'thrown out'

Agreed that there needs to be a little bit of a down-tune to some of the difficulty. Can be done by decreasing prices of stuff a little. Also maybe make the Casual mode easier. It doesn't feel very casual when you have to pray to the RNG.

well here's my comment: It really is too hard for beginners or at least the first few levels past 10 or so without the MOD of not havin random masses of enemies comin at you, secondly the money system seems off with limited ways of appropriating money and the things that you sell dont add up to the value stated in the corner, thirdly there seems to be no way to raise your AP and that makes me sad -tear-

After day 30 the game becomes stupidly hard, killing all the fun. It starts being all about luck and tons of reloads to go through each level. Really, it sucks :-(
I hope they tune better the gameplay on future updates. For now, it's 2/5, and I'm being VERY generous.
