has anyone being playing as the duelest? i'm day 40 with one got a lazer pistol and too mercs with gav guns and a sniper with sniper but struggling still for cash and quick kills is it the class or just my bad luck?

Why does it save at random times? A lot of times, when I'm in the town, I'll click on something by mistake. So I exit the game and go back in, and it saved my changes! So now I'm stuck with my mistake.

i have 3 troops all with gravity guns and i use 4 guns, 1 for infantry, 1 for anti air, 1 for armor, and one for a back up if im reloading. i have 126 chickens and 20 sisters. im on day 45 and im trying to get to 100 then im going to try hardcore

Starting on around Day 130, I decided to just put my character on auto and see how long would it take for my castle to go down. I kept updating Party, and now I just feel silly watching the Days go on without doing a thing. Apparently, the computer are much better at using an auto-shotgun than I am, haha..

The AutoShotgun is the best weapon in the game I think. It does damage about equal to a machine gun, except every single 'shot' fires TEN shots in a spread. With the Doc Holliday skill maxed at 5, thats FIFTEEN shots in 1 click! Another key skill is Cripple which slows down monsters you hit... and you hit a LOT of monsters.--------------Best Mod for an auto-shotgun = Damage. A level 3 damage mod adds 15 damage to EVERY BULLET! That means +225 damage per shot (15x15), and is equal to +7.5 Mod adjustments. Leech is also very good and Anti-Armor is key as well. Ammo or quick reload are both solid as well. Ive noticed NPCs do really really well with the auto-shotgun too. If you can, buy one with 4 or more mod slots even if lower level and upgrade it. The mod slots do a LOT for the auto-shotgun. Remember, a Mark 4 auto shotgun with 4 level 3 damage mods is equal to a Mark 34 autoshotgun! (minus slight fire rate boost)

Tips for new players:
1. Despite being an action game, it's still pretty much a RPG of sorts -- don't try to "win" the game initially -- just try to reach various achievements at first.
2. After getting about 5-10 achievements, then you can get a decent amount of starting income + museum income, which are good for starting out.
3. When hiring, try to get aiming speed of 8 or better and, if it's a class with party skills, teamwork of at least 6.
4. You can get decent money selling eggs.
5. Hire henchmen when halving your income will not impact your bottom line too much, at least until your normal characters are efficient at killing large waves. Always hire if you accidentally upset the enemy.

lingeringshadow, I'd say go with a hunter. Start off buy farming chickens (aim to get the Breeder skill early), and then you'll have enough money to make the rest of the game immaterial.

Once I went into casual mode, I stopped getting medals. No chicken medals, no survival medals...Is that how it's supposed to be?

day 123 i am a sniper doing lots of damage, doing "hard" mobs and bosses, got a militia and ranger with gravity guns to kill mobs and rogue with laser for birds! excelent!

@LemonPledge: you have to use it in the next level. It will call in several dragons that you must defeat then you will receive the medal.

Day 103, racking up the perfect games like crazy. Got a gravity gun with 2 reload mods preinstalled (won't let you use them unless you find the gun with them), slapped a level 3 leech on there, still got 1 more slot so I can upgrade it. Fast and powerful...I think its unstoppable, wiping out the field and gaining HP along the way.

If you have trouble doing HC mode simply open a new tab with elona and open the same save. If you die switch to the other tab and save the game and you are back to before the wave.

always have an updated repair hammer or two and a cup on hc. that or have a rogue. I'm on 108 hc and haven't even come close to dying.
