I couldn't make it because of bad drop rates for group guys. But you can get even ragnarok with it.

Focus on weapons : rifle bow is very efficient if you upgrade bowmaster ability, gravity gun is a big gun that swep everything away, laser smal gun is very effective, classing shotgun with autoreload.
The others weapons are not so interesting.

wow i'm bad at this game. i've survived a record of 8 survived days without a carry over. and it was on HC mode. on casual i got 5 days.

So, on hardcore, even late in the game, don't use the Ragnarok artifact to 'see what it does'... It never ends well :(

I'm at day 140, but I'm actually on casual mode, so that's probably why I'm being so successful. My bowgun has 95 attack and 134% Vs. Armor. I'd normally use the long bow, but I got the wind bow so that it's not as tough to get mosquitos. (I shouldn't really be trying to get them anyway, but meh. I like killing them and watching them have as much blood as a human knight) The rapid bowgun has 6/sec for speed and 40 attack.

Boometh - adding multiple mods of the same type is less effective than diversifying so your bowgun would be more powerful if it had 1 damage & 2 Armor (although it would be advisable to give it autofire, Fire Rate, & Damage - you don't need the antiarmor until you get a bowgun with a 4th slot) I've had trouble with wind bows and so don't use them, but if it's working for you then stick with it. The rapid bowgun is ok early on (because a low level bowgun fires slow as dirt) however it is a much weaker gun, and again - autofire, fire rate, damage (or switch damage for leech). What day are you on?

I have a great build. I'm a noble with maxed bowmaster. I've modded a bowgun specifically for armored enemies, (3 Level 3 Anti-armor) a wind bow with fire rate mods to easily defeat any air enemies including mosquitos, and a rapid bowgun with a +Rate, +Damage, and +Accuracy, all level 3. The awesome thing about the rapid bowgun is that each reforge increases attack and rate of fire.

Just got the Impossible badge, and every other achievement in the game too. Took about a week, but it was fun. Hints: Start with the sheriff, get max Dr Holiday, and use your shotgun the entire game. Upgrade to a shotgun with at least 4 mod slots, and add in Anti-armor, Damage, Leech, Accuracy. Get Noble/Ranger/Militia minions up to big gun 11 to give them Gravity Guns with impact and leech mods. Invest in 100 chickens or so, and 15 sisters if an ally has "Love". Taunting isn't useful anymore since monster HP now stacks. Taxes pile up fast in Hardcore, be prepared for a major funding shortage around level 40 if you don't have Accountant, Love, Breeder, et cetera.

Laser Pistol is one of the, if not the best, weapon in the game. Of course those huge guns are good, but those can still function well with your allies. Buy guns with as many MOD slots as possible. I have a 12 rounds per second laser gun, 55 ammo, and very high accuracy.

@shadow Fire13 The best ally is the ranger. The reason for this is the insane damage you can do with their Da Bomb ability upgraded entirely with a gravity gun. If you're trying to get the gravity gun in the shop save, refresh stock and if you don't get it in the store return to the menu WITHOUT saving and go back into the game and repeat the previous steps until you have as many gravity guns as you need ( save between each gravity gun). This does not work in hardcore though. :( My preferred setup for allies is militia with gravity gun, Ranger with gravity gun, Rogue with laser pistol and the main character as a Sheriff. Don't use anything but the manually reloading shotgun like the one have at the beginning on your sheriff. Also put at least one leech mod on each weapon.

I like this game overall but so many things are annoying me. First, the smithy is quite useless offering things requiring a too high skill or weapons that I don't need for a ridiculously high price. Second, even with a weapon of mass destruction that can handle Ragnarok easily I fail to kill weakest enemies just because the game sends 50 of them at once and my allies are too slow at aiming which result in a instant KO no matter how strong you are. Third, putting overpowered raids with the boss is just like instant game over since : 1. You never have enough repair kits and you got to wait forever to use one twice 2. Same apply for the nades except the delay 3. Casual is in no way easier than normal 4. Being stuck with the starting weapon forever unless you upgrade it yourself is kinda dumb since the enemies hp curve+dmg is growing insanely fast So to conclude, I give it a 4 because of the useless features and the lack of balance.

(to add to what i actaully wrote in last comment) im struggling around the mid 20's days, tried hunter and ranger, bowgun, hunter rifle and chain guns, full recruits, sometimes getting henchmen, what are people doing to get through the day? maybe i just suck at it ><

On the upgrades page, there is a 1 and a 2 to the far right, click on the 2 and you will come to a 2nd upgrade page. On the 2nd page you can buy chickens, sisters, etc. The numbers are fairly easy to miss, but once you notice them you feel kinda stupid. + to help newbs.

I was full of myself to reach day 100 with 6 slot crossbow at day 19 (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/854/unledzdt.jpg/ with this you can take everything on your way) I never need to repair the walls for all of game with that starting crossbow of hunter. Non of weapon have same ability. Even 30-40 days after. I got 2 militia and 1 defender. 2 militia was providing blast support. last one defender was providing leadership and shotgun support at near of the castle. What I am doing is only holding my left button of mouse. With 4-5 penet. of arrow, I could take all of waves and boost my castle with level 2 leech. BUT even I used repair kits and healing boost, I defeated at level 40 just because of damn walking dragon's one shot :S Dear creator it is really awesome game. However it need some balances.
