guardian is one of the best classes to have really... it gets a huge ton of party skills: Love, Leadership, Defender, Threat.. (these are the good ones, theres more)

I'm playing on casual mode and I'm on day 80
I was totally crushed by mobs, then reloaded last save and... scored perfect game, heh

nasdaddy, Rogue with Revolver here as well, currently day 131 on HC. But Mk-76? Wow, looks like after day 40-50ish, difficulty grows slower than weapon power :)

@overcomebyfear17: Hero character is Rogue with 5-slot Revolver Mk-76 (mods are damage, damage, leech, anti-air, anti-armor, all level 3) total damage 1170 shown in description, fire rate is 12.9/sec, although I have aimed shot maxed for reduced accuracy and 70% more damage, and I have Power Shot maxed, always do 1.5x damage, Sense maxed for extra 28% chance critical, and Villa level 62, for 620% damage bonus. Each shot should do about ~21k damage, but I think workrate must affect it, because I do over 25k per shot, and critical makes it over 50k. If you think that's a little overkill, since my Rogue is able to one-hit almost any enemy, Bosses included (Boss days are jokes), my Duelist has ANOTHER 600% damage bonus from his base skill. Its a shame they always reload before One-shot takes place for 1000% bonus for the last bullet.

oh and on top of that, i restarted over and over til i got a grav gun with like 3 slots that way i could mod it. so unfun

god finally completed the impossible badge. died over and over. starting with gravity gun (you get it at lvl 40 HC) helps a lot, and you pretty much need all the other medals, too.
even with that, i still died over and over and over. i didn't read on how good duelists were and did it with a noble, finally god blessed me with a 5 slot rapid bowgun that i dumped cash into. even with that, i still got mad lucky with lots of invuln cup drops and high lvl hammer drops.
hardcore is no fun in this game

@valxen: that depends on what you/your teammates are. I was on around day 20, deulist w/ revolver, 2 grails, and gernades. I can't remenber if i had teammates.

I am fascinated by how difficult this game is. I made it to day 6 and I just cannot survive. They send wave after wave of stupid rat things that run up and overwhelm my guy with his pistol.

I wish we could set priority firing for our teamates at least. rather than saying dont shoot air or dont shoot armor in total..i would prefer "don't shoot storks" and "SHOOT THAT EXPLODER FIRST!!!" XD

@nasdaddy - the villas don't help me at all, at this point. The problem isn't that my team doesn't have enough fire power. It's that they just can't deal with birds at all. I don't get it. When they *do* shoot at the birds, they murder them pretty easily - they just seem to ignore a large number of them. Those birds are now flying fast enough that they've only got a split second to decide to shoot them, and they don't make that decision enough. My team member with the grav gun can put *8* shots on the screen at once. But the suicide bombers are across the screen in a quarter second now - the chances that one will slip through is much more likely. As i mentioned before, my group would still slaughter everyone if i just played and swept my bowgun back and forth - 20 shots / second w/ cripple lays down a pretty impenetrable wall. But each day takes like ten minutes now. Not interested.

@Mike mods can't be taken off weapons. The only thing that removes mods from weapons is reforging, which removes the last mod but DOES NOT give you the mod item back.

I feel like the higher the level of the rifle, the weaker the rifle is --- the regular starter rifle > bowgun (rifle lvl 6) >.>

Best Advice for newbies having trouble: Upgrade your shop AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Luck is very important, so you better reduce the impact of bad luck by having a big shop. Especially on Day 4, which is Mods day. If you have a decent size shop (at least 5 spaces), you have a good chance of getting a leech mod, which is absolutely essential for survival later on. (if you don't get a leech mod or a good weapon by day 4, i suggest restarting.. its only 4 days anyway)

There's a wiki out there that is pretty decent . It answers nearly all of the FAQs and has a several tips scattered about.

@zaos: Upgrading the bowgun will take off the last mod placed on it, so if you reforge it, it should take off the mod, even if it won't give it back.
