This game is actually surprisingly balanced, at first I thought only noble was any good but sheriff, rogue, ranger, sniper...they all rock!

beating ragnarok doesn't award you anything blades, except for a TON of xp (went from 20 to 29 or, just can't remember the day). and the medal which is a +1 to starting luck.

is it just me or has the game stuffed up, like ive been playing it for awhile and its been working, i came back this time and the main screen has changed and i cant do anything, is anybody else having this problem?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well, that's a little embarrassing. Guess I usually just click it and then start the game too quickly. Haha.. ha.. hahaha...

Every weapon. Also i got the extra skill option skill to max (lvl 2) and i get no two extra options! that and i got the +ap everyday AND I STILL GET 4 AP EVERY SINGLE DAY!

DragonSteps, when you click on new game and hover over hardcore, it says it deletes your save game.
hotflungwok, you should have a strong guy that can deal with armor units. having high aiming and setting everyone to fire at will helps too.
BladesFlames, you get a badge and get tons of exp for killing them. If you're a rogue, you get pretty good money for killing them too.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wait the sword of Ragnerok do you get anything from beating it.. Like if you can do you get anything from it.... I always just sell teh Ragnerok

Dragons and cannons do 20 pts of damage per shot? Are you kidding me? That's half your castle. And if you concentrate on them long enough to kill them, you die from the 30 other things on the board. Seriously, 15 big knights at once? I just love games that punish you for not being able to see into the future and plan your character from the beginning to fight something you dont know you're going to have to fight. Your allies being completely useless retards really helps as well. It's great spending 100s every round to have them sit there and watch enemies run by.

Thanks for the constructive response, Mlkio. The game does auto-save after the end of each day when you're in the casual, normal, and hardcore modes. However, what I was referring to was the game automatically deleting your save file when a hardcore day starts. I was a little confused about it, but got it figured out. In any case, casual mode is still strangely addicting even after day 270, and am currently working perfecting HC mode. Cheers.

No it doesn't DragonSteps.
For those who don't want to lose their save, the game does keep a save file on your computer. I forgot what it was though. Otherwise, if you don't want to lose your game open and start elona shooter in two tabs or whatever. If you lose one the other one will still have your game when you save. Chickens have an extremely slow return rate for the first 40 days or so and aren't a good source of income unless you save scum.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
actually, the chickens, no matter how many times you upgrade their level, have the same upkeep. Hope this proves useful. Oh yes, stealing is pretty much useles until level 9-10, unless you have the Robber badge and the prayer/provoker badges. Oh yeah, that badge should be atempted for fun.

in the middle of day 86, firefox froze, and restarted. I was 14 days away from getting that impossible achievement. Gah I'm frustrated.

this game annoys me so much, i get head shot after head shot but i still lose time after time. is rifle not the way to go or what

I switched to a lvl 1 auto shotgun on about day 25 with my noble... I'm still not willing to believe what I saw. Seriously, try this. 15 perfect games now, and 5 of them were days 26-31.

@pcb97 I got the badge with the grail but I did beat it once with a 5 mod bowgun and max penetrations and some good grenades plus back up with another bowgun and like 7 penetrations, a sniper with a bow, and a gravity gun. that was on day like 4X. oh and the bowgun I had had knock back, which stops them from shooting, that was the trick. I could see it with a good combat shotgunner too, havent tried it though.

RCName: Read the description. All it says is that the game will auto-save every game except when you're in HC mode. The description says nothing about deleting the game.

AHHHHHHHHHHH
I ACCIDENTALLY REFRESHED WHEN I WAS IN A BATTLE ON DAY 99!! >.<
Grr. Why does the file delete when the battle starts >.<

Great game, I just wish it wasn't based so much on luck. If the smith and loot only give you useless guns and worthless stuff, you're got no chance when you get to around level 18. There needs to be more control over what items are offered in the shop. Either start with two more boxes in the shop or lower to restocking cost to 1 AP. Also set it up so the same items don't appear in mupltiple boxes at the same time. Very annoying when you get like two bows and two grenades, then you restock and get two worn HMG and two more grenades. Basically the game comes down to getting the right weapons at the right time. I still give it a 5 because it is a fun game.

To Mike5214, it says as the last tip in the help section that your health must be full and the end AND beginning of the day (got a point from searching and forgot to repair, no damage the next day and still didn't get a perfect so I can confirm it too). To thekipper3- ragnarok summons about a LOT of dragons (didn't count how many exactly) to attack the castle. Instant suicide if you aren't prepared. Anyone get that badge without needing to use a holy grail at the same time?

to get about 80% of medals do casual mode with labtop dificulty and skip hard wave start with hunter get bow master and cook hire a sheriff buy a auto shoty then get dr holiday+acc then 2 nobels both with big gun get them grav guns and leech mods then put there focus to reloading there is no max then get breeder and account i got to wave 80 then wnet on to hardcore

The game is all about getting a good start. If you dont, you will eventually be overwhelmed by the increasing power of the baddies. Getting medals on easy-mode is the best step towards this. An eearly investment into Eggs is the key. The Active skill, Breeder, and Goggles or whatever gives you better Searches are all key.

To get the medal Ha-Na-Bi you have to win a full day, and when the ``congratulations´´ appear just let 10 seconds and then keep going to get the medal

Lz_erk, I once mistakenly switched out my gun with a mod thinking I should do it later. I went into a boss day without a gun and on hc. Thinking i would need to spam my repair hammer and cup, I got a perfect day without using either. This is mostly due to my duelist doing godly damage and my 180 bonus damage from the villa.

Tips for new players so they won't curse at the game or break their LCD monitor.
1. Play the game a couple of times just to get the medals. Start with Casual + Laptop Mode. It becomes easier once you have most of the medals. That is when you can get past 100+ days.
2. Use Hunter until you unlock Noble.
3. For Days 1, 2 and 3 focus on getting chicken.
4. Bowmaster skill + Bowgun + fire rate mod + auto fire mod = pawn.
5. To make money: Chicken and Taunt. Late game, Taunt gives you way more money when you have "Active skill".

Nobles are overpowered. Day 90-ish on Hardcore, I dismissed my Hunter to hire a Noble. He can't equip anything, so I dismissed my Guardian accidentally to hire a better newbie Noble in place for the first. Surprisingly, it looks like I MAY STILL WIN. I'd like a warning about that though -- "You are about to dismiss a level 70 Guardian with a five-slot Shotgun equipped, ten days before the Imp badge: are you CRAZY? [Yes/No]"

Dragonsteps: Read the description, Hardcore's *supposed* to delete your save before each fight. That's why it's hardcore.
