doodack ranger can get all the skills you mentioned and is a great class once it gets off the ground, you have to invest in a chaingun asap and for skills the get reloading and accuracy, once you get all of that it is pretty easy

I think Hunter and Ranger are must haves in your group.
Great party skills.
Hunter = Cook + Engineer
Ranger = Active + Breeder + Leadership
Give Hunter a Bowgun with a ton of lvl 3 Fire Rates.
Give Ranger Gravity Gun with a ton of lvl 3 damage.

The ranger I believe is the worst when starting out. I would suggest switching to anything other than a big gun if you manage to get anywhere. I am pretty sure they are very good at higher levels, but i fail with them as well.

If you are not playing on hardcore, get the skill 'Active' up on someone, then you can get more AP randomly... wait until you get a fair amount extra, say 8? Then save, and start refreshing the guys stock until a good weapon comes up. Grav guns are rare early on... good luck!

Personally I like using Sheriff, using normal shotty up until about round 40, then hunting for a good auto-shotty, mine is mk-14 atm. :D On my team I have a guy with a laser pistol and two people with grav guns, I don't need to play, change my guy off hero mode and it can get perfect games.

(to Mandrax) Well I played this one as a Duelist and I got a team of Guardian (Shotgun), Hunter (Bowgun) and Ranger (Cheap Worn HMG) in the mid Stage 20s. But not a single Big Gun showed up the whole game other than HMGs. One of my mistakes was probably not getting a better gun than my Pistol (got it upgraded to Mk-2 though), but the Sniper Pistol felt awkward to use; probably should have bought the Laser Gun but I was anal about its 1 Mod Slot (wanted a better one later but it never came). x_x Maybe I had too rough of a time because I was a Duelist...

Schwazala, a good start is very important. Get a good team in place to deal with the later rounds, preferably 2 grav guns by round 30. Good luck! :D

UGH. How do you fend off tanks, ogres, knights and dragons all at once?? >_< I haven't found any rocket or grenade launchers the entire game, so am I completely screwed just because of that? Feels like it.

it seems there is a glitch or maybe an imposed miss. when an enemy is up close and i use a crossbow the arrow passes through the enemy and does no damage.

@mjaronasaur123 - chickens are a good investment. Even if you play a rogue and your income through eggs is small compared to the money made through critical hits you should boost your income with them.
The first money should be invested in chickens (and the 1st recruit). Buy 1 chicken on day 1. On day 2 buy as many chickens as you can before collecting the eggs. Do this every day till you have a good number (I recommend 30). 30 chickens will cost about 3000 gold and will give about 400 extra income each round. If you have many medals you should also buy a museum as soon as possible.
I play only hardcore, but AFAIK even in casual you have to upgrade your house to be able to recruit additional followers.

The only problem i can see is that I can't set one of my units to prioritize attacking a specific type of unit while still atacking others.

@Titanlordz Seriously. And why are only like, five people allowed to defend this town at most! Can't the king just send some of his townspeople to help defend? He's probably thinking that we are just being attacked by bunnies or something.

Its a good thing you dont have to buy ammo... they tax you all your money anyways (even tho without you they'd all be dead) and then you gotta buy upgrades to save a town with overtaxed citizens.

Picked up a leech v3 on my bowgun at level 15 and ended up taunting every level up to 40 because of all the life I was getting. Quit at level 63 because I didn't know enough about modding weapons to continue. Look for the 4 mod slot weapons early!

some critical kill spots ive noticed: with the giant blue enemies aim for the legs
aim for the torso with the knights
ghosts archers berserkers rats sheep crow exploders all have the head as a critical point

D: I finally get to level ten and buy a villa, but I can't afford a person. So I go to the next day and I have one more enemy and I f**king die. D:

One of the few games that never seems to get old. Beautiful game. They could put the same game out with even basic improvements and it would be a huge hit again.
