@noobizx the button that costs 2 AP only shuffles the recruit available for hire. There is a lil grey button on the bottom right of the recruit screen that says recruit, click that to hire them.

there are some flaws like how u have to hit the direct center of the target instead of hitting slightly off the target and how u can hardly ever hit the dragonflies because of this reason when using, say, a bowgun

I have played casual Mode out to day 225 and still have not unlocked the last two upgrade items in the Tower Tab. How do I get those and what are they?

great game, only second best to caravaneer considering the amount of time i spend on it. def deserves 5/5 for its well achieved balance of classes/skills and ofcourse the mix of shooter, rpg, and (!) turn based strategy !
ps: by seeing the game's rating i thought that the sorry losers that ranked it with 1 just cause they couldnt beat lvl 2 are ALOT ! :p

This game is hard and for the longest time, I thought people who were succeeding were on to something I was missing. However, the game does get easier as you get familiar with it and unlock Medals. Shotgun + Spacebar is the best trick to unlock most early Medals to make games through again easier.

My Team > Sniper (Max. Accuracy); 2 Militia (Big Gunners); Sheriff (Cripple, Accu., Dr. Holiday, Anti-Armor)...Militia for Sweepers (Big Guns and Grenades, LoL), Sniper for Fast Kill, just max out accuracy though, and sheriff for push back and cripple

shop no longer refreshes, but exp% gain from dinner changes. Highest I ever got was 29% but I usually reset if it's lower than 25%. I got level 10 by the 8th day.

the game IS hard. but there's always a way around it.
go with hunter, then use casual mode and go to MOD settings. set them to the easiest possible (e.g. laptop difficulty, tighter crosshairs etc) and start your day. from this save, level up as much as possible to get majority of the badges. the only badges you can't get are the HC mode badges anwyay. once you get the badges and bonuses, go HC

why do all you people say this game is crap? its cool and u guys hate it because your too low level? or is it too hard?
if its too hard make a new acc and make causual mode and put the MODS such as Laptop difficult: makes the enemies slower and a MOD that skips more than 10 suicide bombers. Thats what i did and i think that its still addicting.
and do sheiff first so you get noble and noble is all elementals such as: Shotgun, Rifle, Small gun and Big gun.

Ryusho- To deal with the ballistas, you'll need something to deal with armor. A bowgun or a laser pistol both do very well against armored foes, as do many heavy weapons. Look at the "DMG Armor" stat on your weapons and choose something with a high percentage for ballistae, tanks, etc.

I find this game just, annoyingly hard, I keep trying, and I must be missing something, b ut no matter what class I do, or how I try, I allways will die around day 10 to 12 because of BALISTA'S and too many damn enemies, not to mention AI that will try to shoot the "farthest away enemy" in their weapon range, rather then a "closest" enemy thing, Defend is a good thing true, BUt you really need a "Shoot closest Enemy" with option to ignore air if possible...that and it feels like your partners aim a tad too slow to really be of too much help sometimes...even if you have them set to "Fire only in weapon range" so they target at their highest speeds....

Has anyone tried playing this as a strategy game??? Just change your character's orders off of Hero to something else. Its a challenge!!

Can anyone tell me a way to avoid my mouse jumping while I am playing? So far it has caused me to hit a link twice while playing a hardcore game and loading up another screen causing me to lose my game.

@Eilwood Ragnarok is a sword you get randomly, it summons a horde of dragons to attack you. You should use it when you feel you're prepared, anything that hits multiple targets fast is good, i'd suggest an auto/combat shotgun as a weapon, and if you don't think you can kill all of them before they kill you, you should use a grail
