The main thing you need to survive is a rapid fire and accurate gun (MG or MP) with a Leech lvl 3 mod (generally avaliable after day 40). It will repair castle faster than enemy can damage it.
Or Gravity Gun with leech - one shot in the right direction completely repairs castle.
When you have it surviving hardcore becomes easy.

this is hands down the worst game I have ever seen - my friends here agree - I pale to think of the poor guy who actually sat through this game long enough to put achievements
in it or else he got just a fed up as we did and just made whatever and called it good

Heh - Daktoria's comment pretty much says it all without even using the word walls that I can't help but rant in. Birds of random number generation FTL - albeit I am not sure that the designer was clueless as far as math or logic. I suspect they just liked things this way, personally. Unfortunately in the end it detracts "/

its not a Trick its one of the Medals you have to survive them (I suggest gravity guns and bow guns with some of the holy grail whatevers lol)

*sigh* where to start its got randomized parts maybe a little to much in places but not ridiculously. if it did the same thing over and over the game would be boring as hell.
if you don't want to miss by a mile stop shooting so fast you get the aiming meter so big, The chickens are awesome right now i have about 115 and im getting roughly 1800 gold each time i collect the eggs you get them EARLY so you get the money early you dont wait till your in desperate need for money :P . you can upgrade your weapons to make them better so buying better isnt a requirement. and all the guns have uses, There's a reason why they have better versions of them.

The whole aim situation on a lot of guns is just retarded - guns that don't hit within at least a country mile of where you're pointing them just create frustration. Things like chickens and the museum are too little too late for a lot of players as the return isn't really seen vs. outlay cost for a LOT of rounds, that needs work as well. I'm sorry but what I keep hearing here is "It's awesome you guys just aren't good enough" not any remotely cogent counter to any intelligent points that have been brought up by myself and others, sides "You're wrong lol." which ain't gonna fly. Neither will personal attacks or "You just suck." These problems exist, they cause the game to be a LOT less than it could be, and that's just plain, simple fact.

Sigh - here we go again. 24 Medal player here, no not a 3 second noob that hit ragnorak - and yes it's too difficult and too disorganized and random in a lot of elemental ways. So enough of the usual "You just suck stop bitching" crap please. Half the weapons are pointless, there are very few successful ways to get to endgame strat-wise, if the RNG treats you badly you're completely screwed. I'm not talking about badges, nor do I give a damn about them. I'm talking about elementary game design which could stand some SERIOUS improvement. This game was a great idea that was knee-capped by the attempt to include plain too much stuff. Reduce the randomness factor in gear and mob generation, balance the weapons so that you don't end up with a bunch that suck and a few that are godly, de-randomize the shop stuff, stop requiring major cash output just to see a sensible inventory.

Originally, I had rated this game a 1 because it was to hard. Then, off of "killerpete13"s advice, I restarted with sheriff. It's now much easier and a whole lot more fun! 5/5

I actually don't understand why people are saying its too difficult.. the easy badge was cake (50 kills only).. the medium badge can be done pretty much on the first try using hunter or sheriff (10 levels is pretty cake too >_>).. and its way easier/faster than some of the other medium badges out there. As for the hard badge, WELL ITS A HARD BADGE.. what did you expect?! (It's actually not even that hard because only a few medals actually require u to survive for long, the rest can be gotten a few at a time across different games. its just tedious) And of course.. the impossible badge is called impossible for a reason.. even though its clearly possible since a lot of us who dont give up at the first bad roll have gotten it.

On a sidenote: Gravity guns are awesome, but YOU CAN LIVE WITHOUT THEM. the game isnt so hard that only one weapon works. There's at least 3 good low level ones (Shotgun,Bowgun,Revolver) and several more that become awesome when your chars get high level accuracy/cool/reloading.

Alf101, you need to get all badges to increase your initial survivability - then it's down to careful party planning and some luck in skill upgrades/weapons available. So far almost 2.600 people got it (me being one of them).

This is, IMVHO, the best game on Kongregate. People who rate it hard only because it's difficult should never have played it in the first place.

Ever since this game is in the Mass Effect 2 challenges, a lot of noobs played it and, since they SUCK at life they rated this game low just because they can't play.
Used to be 4.29, now a bunch of immature kids lowered its score. Bah!
