Well, just managed to get to day 51 in hardcore mode. Had 3 militia with gravity guns. Now that the bug of the grav guns is fixed this gun is the best. Just set them not to attack air waves and not to defend the wall. That way they mostly shoot straight ahaed killing most of the field as the 'bullet' goes. the only downside is that you are vulnerable to large air waves (whch eventually killed me). So stock up on grenades and use a rifle for the creatures which should be shot immediately (dragons/tanks) because the grav gun bullet travels slowly. Lastly, always put a reloading mod on the grav gun.

It's possible to shoot the princess that dances around behind you, she respawns every level. I think it lowers reward money though.

I think if i'm at this level it's also a lot of luck cause i have a mercenary who got the skill "active 10". I have a chance to have between 4 and 14AP at the end of a day instead of only 4 so it helps

@Zeeeend
from what I can tell, the 1/2 active mod rounds up, so you actually get the maximum bonus of +5 at level 9 (9/2 = 4.5, rounds up to 5 ap). Also, since it is a party skill, it only counts the highest level instance of the skill in your party, so having multiple people with the active skill is a waste

spinster65: when you upgrade one of the already avaible characters to level 10, you unlock one of the new characters. so if you upgrade all to level 10, you unlock all the 4 new characters =)

is 'aimed shot' really worth it? Somehow it feels like my rapid bowgun has gotten a lot weaker, since 'aimed shot' also decreases the firerate..

Without knowing what skills you have i cant tell really. i forget what you start off with but try to get a Rapid Bowgun soon as you can and when able to get "Bow master" up it raises the number of penetration... as far as tanks go when you ahve maxed penetration you can make pretty short work with them if you have Rapid Bowgun (RBG). try to get a RBG with more than 1 mod slot... youll want one for damage 1 for impact and 1 for leech... impact will keep the smaller units away and when possible get cripple shot it will slow down the enemy a certain percentage PER shot...

Hound dogs you must have changed your own character's attack settings in the barracks... it is not a glitch... click on the drop down menu in the barracks and scroll to the top where it shows "Hero Mode" it will let you control your character again

bowgun is pretty strong against unarmored enemies (Pentration). But You will need something with more power later on. Especially against tanks...

if you are a hunter, what would you want your weapon layout to look like? is it right for me to keep upgrading my bowgun

For everyone new to the game. There is a MOD tab. Under that tab you would beable to modify the game settings... you can take out the hordes of suicide bombers and you can even make the aim/ cross heir tighter so your bullets dont go everywhere soo much. there is also a casual mode you can check off at the start of a new game that will make it easier too. Yes.... you can automatically reload you dont have to do it manually .... all you have to do is click which is what youre shooting with anyways... not too hard right.... manual reload is really for starting sherrifs and malitia use. Right now im going on day 73. GL everyone.... *** NOA *** Great game love it. I would recommend it to every person i met on Kongregate to try it out atleast once.

Ragnarok sends a wave of about 20 dragons all at once. Carried over mode lets you keep the gold you earn when you lose. Don't do it. You won't be able to earn medals and medal bonuses are essential to the game in higher stages. Auto Reload mod is used on manually loaded guns like shotguns, hunting rifles and revolvers. They have an "M" in parentheses next to the reload time. After a second or so of not firing, the mod will start loading the gun. It's pretty useful in some ways, but at higher levels the enemies come too quickly for it to kick in. Unlock the other 4 playable classes by getting your character to level 10. Each character unlocks a different one.

A few people have commented on the mistake of hiring too many repairmen (or whatever) to pay for. Certain upgrades are definitely preferable to others. First, make sure one person in your party has the "Active" skill. The more AP you get, the more you can upgrade. Praying make your castle tougher, eating earns you bonus XP, and having a party, once you get the villa, increases your damage. And note that certain skills and medals support certain actions. Yes, the cost of chickens increases exponentially, but the "Breeder" skill grants you 63% more eggs when maxed @ 10 and the Chicken King medal gives you 30% more money for eggs. I have the "Cook" skill maxed at 5 which gives me a bonus of 27xp to the base gained by having dinner. Pray and party ASAP; their associated medals each come with a +1 AP chance which really pays off in the long run.

I'm noticing a lot of shots spreading outside of the actual targeting reticle. This isn't just with the shotgun either. Good game but it's starting to get annoying dealing with fake accuracy.
