i hate it when you get to a point where you cant do anything, you dont have enough money, you cant upgrade you walls cuase your spending all your money repairing them, you cant buy new people becuase you would need to upgrade your house, but thats way to expensive... 2/5 my opinion...

epic game.
i must say, this is the most time consumer game ive ever played
my best party for casual mode is hero - sherrif, player - sherrif, player - ranger
with gravity gun and another ranger with gravity gun (the sherrifs should have auto shotgun)
i read it in one forum and it was the easiest way for me to get to lvl 150.
and like everyone else say: keep this comment alive!!!!!

6-slot machine gun... I really want to buy it, and everyone can use rifles, but machine guns realy aren't that great...

Getting past day 11 is the hardest because catapults start coming out. You pretty much have to get someone before that with anti-armor who can focus on them. Also if you lose a wave do not carry over or start over just go to the title and "continue" then it starts you at the previous day with no penalties. The new wave will be different and you can just keep plugging away with this trick until you win.

(to Jukantos) Well, that would indeed imply you don't know how to handle the Sniper, then! :P Not even half this game is about the battle itself. The true game is about resource management, and just like in battle, you'll play your resources differently for every Class. If you can't get your party, equipment, and income up to the required prowess in time for Day 11 as the Sniper, that means you're doing something wrong as the Sniper. In which case, you should practice, read up on the forums, practice, and... don't forget practice. ^_^

@schwazala: i can well handle the sniper and hit on at least 90% of my sniper shots. but due to the overflow of enemies i still lose to day 11 or 12 and i just cant get more then 2 hired guns until then. :(

(to Jukantos) The Sniper Class is an advanced class that's difficult to play, not recommended for beginners. If you like Rifles, try the Hunter Class, also the Sheriff Class uses Shotguns which plays similar to the Rifle (you do better close-range and the Rifle does better far-range, so the Shotgun is more forgiving), and both are great beginner's choices. Militia is not recommended, she is the most difficult out of the four starting classes, and Rogue can be a little tricky, but she's by far the best at making money, so if you play Rogue and get a full four-member party ASAP you should do well too. :) Don't pick the Advanced Classes until you've mastered basic and intermediate gameplay with the Basic Classes (try to go to at least past Day 40, try to get to 50 if you can).

seriously? no matter how often i play this game i always quit frustrated because at some point (around wave 10) it becomes ridicolously impossible to complete if you dont a) luck out at the recruits you have at your disposal and b) dont replay for the 999th time to have a lot of starting advantages through your medals. thats not motivating long term and seriously, ive seen impossible badges that needed less endurance then the hard badge of this game (the amorphous impossible badge was easier to earn)

ehm.. restarted on sniper class... hired 2 ppl... and no matter how often i restart, lvl 12 spawns chickens faster then me and 2 comrades can shoot them, mixed with a few archers. ive killed a total of 45 chickens in 1 attempt and still failed the wave cause they just shot down my wall with their eggs... TOTAL FAIL -.-

i cannot even beat day 10 or 11 on normal mode without hiring the henchman. and that with a party of 3. there is just too many T_T

My best start so far was starting as a rogue then I got a second rogue and from this was able to make money really fast. Then upgraded the house first to get a full party ASAP. Just have to make sure to use the loading "trick" to get good hirelings, and if you are losing a wave never start over just go to title and continue then try again. Think I can attribute my success in getting to wave 43 to getting laser guns on my rogues and a militia with "Da Bomb".

and always always always have a grail of jure ready for the waves where suddenly whole groups of suicide bombers charge. if you dont kill most of them you can easily take close to 100 castle damage

@gamesrcol: Strategy for hardcore, lets see... the hero's class choice is really just personal preference, you can do well with any of the eight. your three npc's classes are where you need to be picky, you want npc's with good party skills mostly cuz most of the damage will be done by your hero anyway. You can look at all the skills on the elona wiki. get your party formed within like 5 days at the most, this is where most of the delete/restart occured for me. i found the game to be much easier if i picked an npc with the big gun skill, and gave him one of those fire-and-forget guns such as the gravity gun. make sure you get stronger versions of your weapons when your starting to struggle. going 10 days without upgrading is probably okay, 20 days is definitely suicide

high rated comments dont matter nearly as much as high rated games so instead of rating the comments rate the game well you can still rate the comment so whatever

This game is very well made except for the balance. Its like playing the best game ever made only you are playing it in a nascar being steered by an 8 year old. The chance on whether or not you'll get the right items, or whether or not a hoard of rats and dragonflies will eat you is infuriating. And no, the classes are not balanced.

60 medals.... maybe that's what happens when you get all the medals & you survive like hell in hard core mode. It is called the the random point generater after all.
