Notice the 'Its hard' theme. Yeah, it's very difficult! takes a LONG time to reach lvl 20!! and a LOT of luck!!! that said its very fun to play!

the randomness needs to be toned down a lot. also i just spent the last couple of hours getting ready to take down the ragnarok dragons only to find out that they dont drop anything, that totaly has to be changed

I really enjoyed it. Its not easy, but once you get the hang of it, it isnt appallingly difficult anymore either. There is a distinct luck element to finding certain weapons, but its still an easy shoe-in for 4/5. Would advise Kong API

So far this is probably my favourite game on Kongregate (maybe cyclomaniacs is a runner up).
But I was wondering is there a guide for unlocks or anything similar around?

Difficulty curve like an aristotilean plotline... level 1-10+ are easy, mid-hard 20-40, easy, ramp up slightly... but... by 124, my minions (with the hero set to hero and not acting) can solo the campaign level without going below 140/143 health. This is with their Mk. 5/8/9 weapons, as I reserved the 12/13/13/17 for myself. Embarrassing.

im at day 56 now with a laser pistol mk2. litle sister with combat shorgun a noble with a laser pistol and a militia with a mk 8 chain gun

Don't expect to win in your first game, or even your fifth. The medals you get can make a huge difference in new games.

Esperlin: there are upgrades to get more AP, and it's easy to clear off the screen with the gravity gun or some of the machine guns.

This game isn't too hard. It's just hard enough. It takes a while, and a lot of luck, to get past level 15ish, but once you figure it out, it becomes a lot easier.
There's two pages for the Tower. If the REQ. of a weapon is in red, that means you can't use it. The upgrade thing shows you the upgrade result on the right (with the REQ). There are ways to get more AP. Work on unlocking the medals, some have really helpful rewards.

Raygun on a noble, a rocket launcher militia, rapid bowgun hunter with bow master and any class with a rapid fire weapon other than a mach pistol or rapid bowgun does wonders (at least on casual). Still can't let your main run on autopilot on later levels, but it works.

Notes from the NPC Quad: It took my automated team 1 try (no losses) to go through levels 126-131 without equipment upgrades or my aid. They messed up the boss battle slightly and ended up at 131/148 structure, but Gravity-leeched back to 148 during the 131/3 segment. The game has broken for this group.

an yea I agree turn off autosave. And make it possible to copy save slots. Some things aren't too obvious at first so it takes a few days to realise what you did just screwed you.

Finally stock ur chicken up to 100 then there is nothing else to do but to just upgrade everything. oh ya , spend time to get as much medal as in a different game before u can attemt to go over 45 , and YOU CANT GET MEDAL IF YOU CONTINUE/CARRY OVER. but it should be fairly easy . one save game to get all the chiken, another one to get all the sisters..etc.

After more than 3000 time of losing, i finally got to over 45+ and going withuot continue/carry over. seeing how everyone is struggling in thsi game i`ll take the time to type out some basic guide that worked for me. The character and gun that i used is rogue and lazer gun, but it doesnt really mater. baiscally, First, stock up to 30 chicken, its at the tower menu at the right side of the screen of it says 2. (kinda hidden) . then get all ur reinforcement. then stock ur chicken up to 60. Then buy At least level 5 looter, and lever 3 trainer. The only AP spending you REALLY need is to get the egg for ur chicken. the rest u can use it to strengthen ur exp, prayer whatever , or MOST importantly to shuffle ur weapons. Ur reinformcement seriously doesnt matter , their skill matter but then they can have more than 20 skill in the end so they should have the one u want. oh,

This game is ridiculously hard on "casual" mode, with "no hard waves" selected and no too-high weapons randomly found. Maybe there should be an "easy" mode. The current "casual" mode could be "Hard," and "Hardcore" could be "Insane." A lot of weapons are fairly useless, and it's just a matter of luck whether or not you get good weapons. If you don't get them, you're out of luck.

By Day 126, full automatic (I'm typing through 127) - 1 Laser Pistol Mk 17, 1 Grav Gun Mk 5, 1 Auto Shotgun Mk 11, 1 Combat Shotgun Mk 13... ended 126 with 148/148 health, dipped to 143 during the boss battle because the characters were distracted. Keep relative difficulty alignment more strongly, please. I can mow through boss levels more easily than regular ones.

Hunters suck my dirty @554013! Why must they sucketh so much? The game is quite good, 5/5, but also quite annoying... like mud 'n blood, me thinks. Still 5/5.

(Me)Rogue: Assault Rifle + Bowgun, Little Girl: Combat Shotgun, Militia: Gravity Gun, Sniper: Sniper Rifle. Sniper destroys tough enemies, Militia destroys everything and the Little Girl just kills the enemies who are closer. Level 54 without dying yet. Great game, lol at the people giving it one star because it's "too hard".

Points for the quick update. Only problem is that I'm not getting the rewards (starting skills) for the medals where you lowered difficulty (robber, gun mania, etc.) that I automatically received after the lowered requirements.

Hey guys,
For everyone wondering how to pass the hardness of this game heres a few tips.
Go militia or noble, and get a HMG machine gun (big gun)
Get 2 militia or noble sidekicks and give them gravity guns (big gun)
Get 1 rogue, guardian, ranger etc for team skills.
Get the ACTIVE team skill maxed by you or one of your guys ASAP.
Buy many chickens.
Buy many sisters, and max the LOVE team skill.
On BOSS stages, replay them to you get your desired weapons. You can do this by exiting at the end screen of the day before you go to town.

The menu and developing system is quite confusing for me sometimes. I even upgraded my main weapon which I then could not use any more. Sucks to start over several times.
