For everyone new to the game. There is a MOD tab. Under that tab you would beable to modify the game settings... you can take out the hordes of suicide bombers and you can even make the aim/ cross heir tighter so your bullets dont go everywhere soo much. there is also a casual mode you can check off at the start of a new game that will make it easier too. Yes.... you can automatically reload you dont have to do it manually .... all you have to do is click which is what youre shooting with anyways... not too hard right.... manual reload is really for starting sherrifs and malitia use. Right now im going on day 73. GL everyone.... *** NOA *** Great game love it. I would recommend it to every person i met on Kongregate to try it out atleast once.

Ragnarok sends a wave of about 20 dragons all at once. Carried over mode lets you keep the gold you earn when you lose. Don't do it. You won't be able to earn medals and medal bonuses are essential to the game in higher stages. Auto Reload mod is used on manually loaded guns like shotguns, hunting rifles and revolvers. They have an "M" in parentheses next to the reload time. After a second or so of not firing, the mod will start loading the gun. It's pretty useful in some ways, but at higher levels the enemies come too quickly for it to kick in. Unlock the other 4 playable classes by getting your character to level 10. Each character unlocks a different one.

A few people have commented on the mistake of hiring too many repairmen (or whatever) to pay for. Certain upgrades are definitely preferable to others. First, make sure one person in your party has the "Active" skill. The more AP you get, the more you can upgrade. Praying make your castle tougher, eating earns you bonus XP, and having a party, once you get the villa, increases your damage. And note that certain skills and medals support certain actions. Yes, the cost of chickens increases exponentially, but the "Breeder" skill grants you 63% more eggs when maxed @ 10 and the Chicken King medal gives you 30% more money for eggs. I have the "Cook" skill maxed at 5 which gives me a bonus of 27xp to the base gained by having dinner. Pray and party ASAP; their associated medals each come with a +1 AP chance which really pays off in the long run.

I'm noticing a lot of shots spreading outside of the actual targeting reticle. This isn't just with the shotgun either. Good game but it's starting to get annoying dealing with fake accuracy.

After a couple of false starts (getting to level 10 or 12 and getting stuck) I'm doing well now (day 98)and have gotten most of the medals, including Ragnarok survivor (only 9 to go). A few notes -- I'm using the Hunter (now lvl 84) and I've found the little girl to be a big help. Someone else said to get rid of her early, but I like what she offers. As lvl 65 Guardian she inflicts 36 damage on enemies who are attacking the castle. Her party skills, all maxed at 10, are Love, Accountant, Defender, and Threat, which provide 55 gold per sister exploded, 43% cheaper wages, and a 23% chance to nullify the damage of any attack, and slows the enemies by 21%, respectively. Add to that Last Hope which increases her chances of entering rampage when the castle HP gets low (51% @ skill lvl 9) and Disarm, which, at only lvl 3, reduces by 60 % the damage dealt by enemies she shoots.

Can you fix the sister bugs? Sometimes they fall off the screen or roll past the edge making them useless.
Also can you improve the recycling? Make it either cost less ap, or have a better chance for better mods?
And a way to remove mods would be wonderful, even if they're destroyed in the process.

1/5 its a good game but too unfair. i just had 100s of trops come at me after a gap of nothing, no player in the world could have beat that.

@ILCK
Your weapon must have bad accuracy and reload times, and reloading is automatically done if you empty the clip. There's also a mod to automatically reload manual clips (like shotguns and sniper rifles).

lawl, with sniperguy at day 2 a 132 hit!! anyway be sniper urself with 1 sniper recruit and make 2 ranger recruits... its best to reach day 100
and BTW great game 5/5

wow, once i upgraded to a lvl 11 sniper rifle, if I hit the right spot, I would deal 59999 damage. Almost worth the slow reload..

Game sucks, aiming is pitiful and the reload time on weapons is criminally slow - not to mention not automatically done.

I like Nobles more because of their special and because they can use lvl 1 shotguns which helps alot in the beginnning
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hope that difficult lvl WOULD NOT be changed :-) I like it, it's reallly hard :)
BTW is it possible to delete all medals and start from scratch ?

i Tried out the 4 starter classes and found out that IMO Sherrif is the best to start with. reload after each bullet fired and enable the tightend crosshair MOD and intense start. My sherif gets alot of perfect days, and my recruit is a ranger with grenade launcher for those pesky armors.

I play as a noble and I get a lvl 1 shotgun to kill bosses. Later on I either get a revolver or laser pistol because of their high armor damage

jingks: As you lvl higher the tax/upkeep will get you if you upgrade too many defenses in or no focus your party skills to benefit your earnings (Negociator, Accountant, Breeder ect).. Focus skills of this sort early on and you'll earn easy money but need to fight alittle harder in battle.

I've tried this game several times, with different characters. While the game itself is generally well done, what it lacks is balance. The main problem is weapon availability. Early in the game, having a good weapon is _crucial_ to pass days 10-13, otherwise extremely difficult.

DeepThought: you have 5 potential spaces for weapons.. if you're only depending on a single weapon, you won't go far if you choose the wrong one. Lets say your party has SMGs (good air, bad armor pen) you should focus on balancing yourself or another team mate with good armor pen/high dmg per shot ect..

It'd be nice to be able to stack items in your inventory, like if you have x6 Hand grenade lv1 and then hand grenade lv2 and then more hand grenade lv1 you could be able to put the lv1 grenades together

Hellboy, one of my saves (best yet) is on day 49 and I haven't spent a cent on castle improvements. They just raise your tax/upkeep and stop you from making money. Buy some repair hammers and skip the upgrades.

While I agree in some ways DeepThough, not being able get past level 10 on multiple tries is lacking in skill. I've never found a problem until closer to level 20. There is some strategy to this game, like how you spend your money, but there is luck too.

lv 24....after that, when the tank comes...freaking impossible.... improvments costs too much....theres not a gun big enough
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No, don't like it at all, unbalanced, to hard and what some people here call "skill" is just "luck" in my opinion. You don't need to have any skill, just a bit luck that the right weapons are dropped/for sale, that waves are balanced (not just mice/chicken/tanks in one single wave), that the right skills are displayed and so on.
I'm a level 23 ranger now and I can't go on without using carry over now since I still have my starting weapon with a reload time of about 2 hours and my party members just have level 3 and 7 SMG... that rocks against tanks, catapult, ogres and so on.
No, sorry, it's about the 5000th game I started and it's the first one where I could go past level 10, but now I'm stuck again... that's no "skill" or "difficulty" It's just "luck"... and a game shouldn't just be based on "luck" 2 of 5, since I like the idea but not How it's done...
