bordazhel, the bowgun strategy is probably the best, but I find the sheriff to be the best for beginners. bowguns although no reload required, are much harder to aim.

took half of forever but thanks to the reload method i found my 6 mod slot shotgun....not looking forward to looking for my 6 slot bowgun in hardcore

I always found the hunter to be the easiest (or anyone that gets bow mastery). As long as you are on line with the target, you'll probably hit. And getting 5-6 hits on large creatures (tanks/dragons/etc) is fairly lethal.

only one thing i can think of improving, make selective targeting for npc troops less restrictive. ie attack air mobs first, that way you don't end up with a sheriff/guardian just sitting around when there are no incoming air troops

Thearias the answer to your question is yes. a couple tips, sheriff is probably the easiest starter character, hold space at all times and get used to the reload/shoot time (if you constantly click it won't reload properly) also lots of good info here: http://elona.wikia.com/wiki/Elona_Shooter

For some reason i cant seem to get past day 10 on any of my characters. I cant get past day one on my ranger. Am I doing something wrong or do I just suck?

basic shotgun+leech+auto fire+firerateX2 with high lvl accuracy, cool and reloading is epic. add in an anti armor and reloading or fire rate (depending on skill level) and nothing can get on screen, just hold space and left mouse

keep restocking the smithy, 100+ restocks and best i can find is a 4 slot shotgun...and i already have that. wish i could use ap to add a mod slot, even if it were to cost 10

Day 200, Me and my companions decide to start today off with a blast, apparently one of them had found something while scavenging the grounds for supplies, he called it "Ragnarok", he said it was an ancient relic with a power so great, that he couldn't keep hidden from us any longer, so we all agreed to see what it does, and took it out back. He went out to the edge of the forest, and did something strange with the artifact, then he came running back, we were about to ask him what it was about, then we saw why he was running, Dragons.... There were hundreds of them, we thought the castle was lost, then out of no where, a henchman came out of the castle with a Gravity gun, and obliterated the dragons, he was renowned by the kingdom, and was given the title Private.

Day 130, Today I went out with my buddies, killed another hundred or so of them. Collected over a hundred eggs which sold on the spot for a nifty profit; glad no one stole any of my property while I was out. Threw a party to celebrate our victory, somehow this allows our weapons to perform vastly better the next day. After the party, my buddies and I get rowdy and begin taunting the fields of corpses outside the castle. Our King seems to think we deserve extra payment whenever we do this. Had dinner, these feasts have always been a great experience. I wonder why these guys keep attacking from the same side of the castle everyday, our South gate has been defenseless for almost a year. Records show that I have slain over ten thousand of them, and my buddies have each slain well over five thousand each. Why do they persist? Come to think of it, I have already obtained the title of King, if the King of this kingdom is paying me, and I am the king, am I paying myself? Sheriff Krazlam
