Ok how the heck do you play as a great sea mage? if you make him decent in the beginning so you can win the tournament you get whipped at the end and if you focus on make him stronger in the end you get whipped in the beginning. Also if you miss out on several items in the beginning you get screwed in the end as well as them.

This is way better than the last one. The blandness from the story of book of mages is forgotten due to the intense battles.

yeah best classes wud have to be desert and fire, or r they the same? but still the sapping attack and dmg stack combined is pretty imbalanced

the first book of mages was a great game, this one is too, but i was unale to win against bloodster and didnt join a robe group, could you make more random events for neutral civilians other then an alternate ending for neutral great mage

desert probably outmatches EVERY other clan.
probably because of their additional bolts+ SP draining attacks, their enemies cant even do anything else but casting their regurlar bolts due to the lack of SP.
therefore sand > rest.
dont listen to other people pretending great sea or poison being "best"...their abilities might be very strong too, but they cant do shit without sp.

Really nice, and 720 damage combo the burning hill mages can deploy is TASTY on the last few battles.. pretty epic to face two combos off against eachother too.. lol

The final bit takes the piss :( but overall awesome game :) 4/5 needs more separate missiles, pellets, blasts whut ever i forgot but they need theyer own!

After beating it as chaos desert(evil) and Poison water(good) I tried burning hill(neutral).
It is way overpowered.

There's no limit to how long your name can be, so if your name is spam/really long then you can't see anything behind it =P

backgrounds are kind of bland in battles :(
Also, forcing all of the tribes to max out the basic spells is kind of redundant.
Add more exploring too!

For the final battle, if your side outnumbers and/or outpowers the other side, you can end it in victory immediately without fighting. Also, the more highly ranked you are in the book, the fewer of those battles you'll actually have to fight. If you're number 1, for example, you'll probably only need to fight 1 or 2 battles, the rest you'll "auto win" through dialogue.
