the conveyor belt only works when you give it power. to do this u must have a power or metal line to conduct electricity. get the metal/power charged and then put the conveyor belt so it is touching it

you could also try to program the steam that it forms clouds and can move, and that it can rain down at a random place and if it hits the soil or sand, and turns into a river and moves some sand/soil as sediment.

I think you should add a turbine that spins around when steam is coming up underneath it, and it should produce electricity so when can make steam engines.

Im very sorry about what i did to your city, first water came, then lava, then ash, and finally more lava. The city is destroyed, poplulation is minimun, and by tomarrow I dont think there will be anything left.
