This might have been a good game if not for the constant idioticness of constant retreating. Those soldiers obviously did not have good drill sergeants to knock some sense into them. 2/5 for dumb soldiers and somewhat hard to control camera.

i had 6 squads vs 1 big hord squad. i attacked the hord (25 zombies) with my units.
2 seconds infight than they made a retreat. second squad the same. I attacked the horde and instant retreat. the hord had still 22 zombies left than i attacked them with a small unit.
Result = instant retreat, zombies passed the line and mission over.
My opinion ... this is the worst game i had ever see.

Mission 4: Hold the line, WELL WHO am I supposed to hold the line i9f my units are just like Omehgod theres 100 zombies chasing us we are going to lead them back to the give up line -trollface-*

Autumn War... One of my personal favorite and also one which should recieve an Award for Best Flash Animation Game. But to the point, the game is very simple when you carefully look at it, simple map, pinpointed team's of either zombie or human, the graphics when battling against a horde is great alhough It is quite pixely and also I would love to see a few more different Genre of zombie instead o fseing the exact figure each time... it makes me think I'm fighting the one which I already killed haha bless... my rate 9.2 / 10 ^u^ my highest grade so far! good job Oreo47!! I love when a guy cuts down an undead in a charge, sprints forward with the knife out, then cuts down a second. This game is seriously advanced for one made about four years ago.

BEST GAME EVEEEER!!!!! i got 1 guy with a pistol vs 35 zombies and he won... how cool is that!? he can become a general to the army right away

Am I playing the same game you guys all are? This seems pointless and very poorly made. Somewhere underneath the sit-and-watch lameness of this, there is probably a cool game hiding, but this doesn't appear to be it.

btw the situation about firing immediately is because the weapons are different read the instructions: Pistol = Close Range Weapon, Rifle = Balanced Weapon, Carbine = High Powered Weapon, RPG = Devastating Long Ranged Weapon

For some strange reason after contact when you click the person leading the squad's avatar the zombies disappear, which win you the battle.

a hate it when you cant let the zombies reach a certain point a you attack them but your guy retreat instantly so you end up losing the game

I really want another damn Autumn War game! This game (in my opinion) is a awesome flash game classic with a cool idea. I was super hyped when I heard of autumn war 2 (Survivor is not autumn war 2,to clear confusion) and was so sad when the developer disappeared without notice and has not returned. But after I saw he last played Survivor 2 months ago I let out a little hope. So this is a message to you Oreo47. Please tell us that you are at least not dead and give a explanation. I understand that good games takes years to develop, but please come back soon.

Great game. The graphics are great for a game this old, and the overall mood and atmosphere is just inspiring. Overall, I would say this is a great game. Although, I will say that mission 6 was incredibly frustrating for me because, nine times out of ten, I would lose due to my fire teams suffering a chain of retreats, as in, one retreats because there are too many zombies attacking, they get away only for the squad that was right behind it to suffer the exact same thing. I will say this, however. When what I can only presume was the Commander showed up in a giant mech, that was awesome beyond words, and oh so satisfying to watch it mow through hordes of twenty + zombies.
