After the game ends, can we hide the lose screen to see what happened in the last round? Sometimes I lose without even understanding what just happened. .

@zharl - for me cube holds cards to drop block as needed, otherwise sits unused. I mainly rely on gem draw + energy ability till first-second castle.

I just had an incident with the tray of gold. I had enflame on the runaway card, but the tray was able to runaway without taking the damage.
Overall, I am really enjoying the game and I'm really getting a kick out of some of the newest monsters. This incident doesn't change that opinion, but I thought I should report the bug anyway. Thanks for the great game!!!

"This is a PRE-ALPHA version of the game. It will have some bugs, performance issues, and the graphics are not finished". You know this is more complete then some triple A titles that get released nowadays right? Keep up the good work, awesome game!

@Julka I wanna like sorceress! Have any tips? I never get far and quickly run out of energy (the cube man, it's an energy drainer).

First, AWESOME GAME, just great great stuff - really its awesome, my only comment is you should a couple more pictures of it on the sight, I often overlook games that just have one picture (although i possibly shouldnt) and particularly with the one you used you cant tell at all what it'll be like, all the best

Great new patch, my only minor complaint is that new 'walking across the bridge' animation is a bit slow. After so many games, I'm not interested in waiting while I walk across the bridge.

Also toad artwork and rogue art tweaks are awesome. Still think the toad and sorceress gameplay needs reworking though.

I am LOVING the artwork for the mad warlock. So cool. I love that the updates keep coming. Where else can I find the game btw? I know that it is available on steam, but I just want to be aware of all the platforms I can find it on.

oh the shame when i had to sacrifice Duke for food. and then the horror when i realized i had to fight him in battle...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is a great game, but, as has been commented on before, it's a big performance hog. It seems to have just gotten worse in that regard with each update (though better in all other aspects). I think you should focus on improving this (I realise it can't be trivial to do, but I'd imagine it's turning off quite a few potential players). Great game, anyway.

this game makes my computer freeze for like half a minute when i close it and maybe crashes my computer but i think it says something about the game that this doesn't make me stop playing it
I'm not sure what you mean by this. If you put cards in your wizard sleeves (or bag of holding), you can't draw those cards, but you should be able to pull them back out.

I'm starting to get the hang of the knight, but I'm still having trouble with the other classes. Does anyone have any tips for them?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love this game! I would give it a 5* if it would not slow down that much my PC. Come on, programmer, you should simplify your algorithm, these are only cards, at the end!

Fun game! Minor complaints: 1) I think the shield sound effect is too soft and "boingy", especially on the harder hits. It's also weird that it plays the same sound effect even when a hit breaks through the shield. 2) Draw dart's last upgrade is a downgrade. Going from sum of 10 to 12 feels bad. I think 4->6->8->10 would make a lot more sense as an upgrade path. 3) When forced to pick between two options like in guilds, some sort of indicator would be helpful. Slay the Spire uses a chain linking the two options together. 4) Curse/Poison/Flame shields feel pretty lackluster. It's not particularly fun combat wise (you do the same thing but have to attack X more times), but it also doesn't really make much sense story wise. Things that have magic shields like mages or fairies should have barriers, but creatures of fire or darkness that live and breath that element? Nah. I like the idea of enemies being strong against certain elements, but I think they should do so differently.

"Bottled shops (and all other shops) are now guaranteed to provide at least one item that has some sort of damage."
Apparently, Anemic is listed as causing damage because it came up in a bottled shop in Unprepared as the only potentially damage-dealing card.

Can you increase the font size on the card point totals? ie the ones in battle just to the right and left of the draw deck (where the end turn button is)? The totals are quite small and rather hard to see. I'd like to be able to greatly increase the font size of them so I can see them easier.

Mossy tree [elite] is broken even on easy mode. 6 poison on hit effect. with 620 health... at most my highest attack is 90 rn on a 2 card straight. and thats on a 1 turn cooldown. Please reduce the health or poison effect.

Thank you for this great game. The different characters really add a lot, I'm glad their difficulty vary. It took me a while to get used to the huntress, and when I switched to the druid it felt like a completely different game. And it happened with all of the other characters.
I love the new artwork and the daily runs add a lot of diversity.

I wish the class balance was improved. The degree to which newer classes tend to be considerably harder gets a bit tiresome. I'm going through challenges now, and i'd prefer to pick heroes that seem highly suited to the challenge; instead it's pretty much always "knight will do best", and the rankings in general stay pretty similar no matter the challenge, because some classes are just better.

@Zharl Bard has the weakest base setup, but the highest potential. Some runs (bard or not) you just get an insanely broken combo and that's that. Bard just makes some combos much easier to do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There's a lot of game breaking stuff zharl! The game is easy when you get good ;) Bard has the lowest winrate of the classes (and tbh its ability is not as good as it sounds). Enjoy a great run and onto the next! x

Ended up steamrolling the rest of the game. Beat the Kraken before it could get an attack off, due to the bard, king dagger, temple strong combo. I don't remember the exact amount of damage, but it was like 447 damage turn 1, 298 without strong afterwards. Each king was worth 27 damage, so 27 x 11 + strong bonus. Anyway Bard with the right weapon and enhancements = game break.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey so, I've discovered something super game-breaking. With the bard, I got "someone's shiny dagger of kings" and it's fully upped, meaning it does 11x1 card. I also have enhanced kings that, with temple desecration, makes each one worth 18 points. Combined with the fact that I gained strong 1 from a dungeon, means for 3 energy I can do 297-298 (it fluctuates for some reason) of damage on turn 1, and then 198 on turn 2 for another 3 energy. I just beat fungal swamps boss on turn one using this strategy.

@shawnee123 It lets you pick another vertical space that you normally would not be able to get to (the spaces that would otherwise be grayed out and unconnected to your current path). It's not a very useful ability in my opinion. I think the toad needs serious revamping, along with the sorceress.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't understand what the energy cost does on the Toad. It says you can jump spaces but all that happens is I lose 10 energy and get the choice to go to the next space I would have gone to anyway. What am I doing wrong?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Julka, I fully agree that poison is very bad vs some monsters, especially the final bosses as you mentioned. But I also noticed that for most monsters poison is a very efficient way of dealing damage. One time i finished the game using only poison weapons. For teh final boss is has 15 stuns prepared which was bit overkill :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really dislike using poison damage (and huntress as a consequence) due to:
1. draw on damage enemies will essentially have an extra hidden card if you use poison, compared to an extra visible from raw damage/curses and controllable for enflame; it really stings when enemies mostly play with open hand
2. 2 out of 4 bosses are draw on damage and will cure poison every other turn
3. their low initial multiplier combined with 2. means they can't really be used in battles where you need damage the most
I've noticed I'm basically ignoring poison weapons in shop, while buying all other kinds

@TrentW151 Yup. when I accidentally did that the first time, and the dog just whimpers. I started a new game. Didn't matter that I was in the final world and that I was staring at art on a screen. Couldn't bring myself to do it.

Here's my response to Playsaurus's Response to my Question: First, You can get food in an another way, yet You have to sacrifice the dog for Food? Seriously: You got casinos, Jesters, OTHER cards that can suffice you for so many turns, and MORE. Secondly, for your Question, I say, DONT. It's because I do not want people to be sad over the dog, THERE ARE ANIMAL lovers out there that if I were to stream this, They will go bull poop CRAZY.

YES! YES!!!!!! I finally beat the kraken. Thief with strong attacks, Enhanced hearts (+3), regeneration, shank of hearts, knife+++, black axe+, bludgeon bat++, precise bracers+, time machine, scroll of vulnerability.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just won the game! After all this time playing. Admittedly, I play on easy. I'm not smart enough to ever beat it otherwise. I wish any win would give access to the challenge runs, but maybe if I keep working on it I'll get better. This game is so much fun. Thanks!

Easily one of the best games I've seen put on this site recently—though I guess that's been a low bar ever since idle gaming became a thing. Plays like a combo of Slay the Spire and Dicey Dungeons. I'm excited to see the full game (though like uberchops, I'll miss the aesthetic of some of the sketchy art—is it possible to keep those resources in the game as an alternative art style/easter egg in some way?)!

it is not exactly a bug, but can you make that way, so friendly vampire cant kill you (suck last pint of blood). please? I died ☺
