Having a blast playing this old school style rpg with added newer style elements like umm elements and the such, love the ap gain using a,s,d in battles. Really adds to the battle involvement instead of just sitting there clicking attack and whatnot lol

Nikota, think about it. It's an RPG. Usually, characters level up. Still, it takes a while in this game... but yes, they do level up.

OMG I remember this game now I played the first chapter a long time ago and I loved it and I remembered it like a week ago and I wanted to look it up to see if they made a sequel but I forgot the name but how lucky how I found it with THE sequel!

The option menu needs an explanation on how you exit =) Took me a while to figure out that Z was exit. Somehow managed to click every other button on my keyboard before guessing on Z :-/

outpatient8, idk what console rpgs youve been playing but your way off in you made up facts, this game certainly does not have more "talking" than any console games similar to it. Lots of gamers play them for their story, games are a story telling medium like film and literature. take some of your own advice and don't tell people that they she be looking somewhere else for story

Wow. About 12th level in on the hidden arena, I get an enemy with 0 health who won't attack, but is still alive, so I have to fking start over. FAIL.

Also, this game has far more talking in it than any of the other console rpgs. Far too much in fact.

Everyone who is complaining about too much talking needs a foot lodged in their mouths to they can't speak anymore bullshit. Read the description, cause this a direct quote: "MARDEK is an epic Flash RPG in the style of NES and SNES RPGs, like the early Final Fantasy games. It is highly story-driven." NES and SNES FF games were highly story driven and had a lot of text. You complain about like the author doesn't know its there.

so on my second mission everytime I load my game the entire map is gone... then if I wander too far from where I started in the middle of a black screen then my character dissapears...

If these games had about 50% less talking and 50% more actual game play, I'd give it a 5. As it stands it's too damn chatty. Also, the banter is not nearly as witty as the author intended.

"Bad Graphics, Bad Graphics", that's all the whining i hear about this game. It's meant to be this way because it was designed that way. Learn to appreciate greatness and don't judge a book by it's cover.

I like the game but wish that it were more responsive, had a mini-map to show you what you've explored and I completely disagree with the way that XP is allocated. Sometimes the most important person on your team is the guy that spent the entire time dodging hits and healing everyone else, but in this system that guy gets the shaft!

All of you who say this game has bad graphics are IDIOTS. It is intentional for it to look like that to add to the original NES RPG effect. It is a classic RPG which is never a bad thing when done correctly, luckily this was and it is one of the better RPGs on this site. 5/5.

Cool game but bad graphics.
Of course you do not play a game for its sole esthetics but you have to admit that good graphics make you wanna play more than bad ones.
The reactions-system (even though already seen in games such as Mario RPG) and the skills learning were good ideas but the game is still a really basic RPG. Hopefully humor in the dialogs gave a little help to keep my attention.
