This game is great, and Psuedolonewolf did really good on making it. The graphics idea is awesome, and sometimes there's an actual challenge, it's not all easy and short. I like the idea of being able to skip easy battles, too, because sometimes there are places with lots of battles, or it seems so, because the area is big or something. This is the best game series I've ever played online. 5/5 stars.
@Khanster01 How there would be 8 chapters is in the first chapter you do not fight one of the Governance de Magi. If there were 7, there would be one left, if you fought only one per chapter, which you probably will as it is. I will show which one you fight in this chapter and the next here, so I will spell them backwards, just incase you do not want to know. Chapter 1: none Chapter 2: ciroM Chapter 3: anlauQ Chapter 4-8: ???. I would guess that you fight the leader of the Governance in the eighth chapter, which I think is Anu. Hope this helped!

I honestly think this game is better off being made by pseudolonewolf alone because any other mind trying to change the game would probably ruin it.. pseudo knows what he wants the chapters to be about which is why he planned it out before he released the games excited to see what is next since i can't imagine what else there could be

Hey guys, is it possible to play Mardek on one computer, and still be able to load saved game on other computer? I have been playing it for hours, and now I can't play it on my first computer, and I wouldn't like to play it all over again if I don't have to...

i like this game alot, once you start playing your not likely gonna stop be4 you reach its conclusion. that being said, the game has an aufull lot of text and 90% of it is basically unnecessary for the story, and with the strange text fond that make reading it a real pain.
dispide that ill give the game 4/5 might even give it 4.5/5 depends how tired you get of the never ending gibbering

I hope that people realize that this game wasn't made by a corporation like armorgames or crazymonkeygames...etc.. and that it was made by pseudolonewolf alone and that he makes 3+ other series of games mardek being by far his most popular and well deserved because he spends hours upon hours days upon days months upon months making them and he redid the entire engine for chapter 3 and was nice enough to add it to chapters 1 and 2 to improve the experience to people who just found the game or want to find out what the hell is going on in chapter 3 so shutup haters and try to make a game better than this

tip:in the begining go around and loot the place random monsters may outpower you and you will need to look for treasure chests so you are ready don't just charge in
oh and btw the treasure chests are usually in buildings hope the tip helps

I'm sure I've got waaaaaay more than enough time to kill that zombie dragon machine thingy and still make it to the escape pod with lots of time to spare. hell, I might even had time to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. so, that dragan guy was just trying to play the hero.

This game is so awesome. It's rare to find that kind of quality in flash-games and this one has potential to get really famous.
It should be translatet into other languages. (for german translation i would be glad to help... but thats just besides...)

great flash game. love the fact that mana berries give you diarrhea, nausea, hallucinations, and a chance of malignant tumors and that potions made from bleach urine and a pinch of brown suger

Hint: When in Moric's ship, it doesn't load you up with Phoenix Downs for nothing. Save them so that when you get to Moric you can use them all on him to do epic damage. It probably won't kill him, but as long as you have Vehrn equipped with the silver sword (double damage to undead, special attack that does a further double damage to undead), that shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Loved the game, but am unable to save in Chapter 2. Reloaded the page and lost all progress I had made in the Chapter. Anybody else encounter this bug?? Lost a couple of hours-worth of progress!!

Two things:
1. Pressing "Z" will give you points on passive skill faster
2. After you defeat the Canonia Shaman go back into the Tainted Grotto head back to were you beat her. there's a skeleton wearing a GeoJacket. GeoJacket makes you absorb Earth and Arcane Catalyst heals you instead.

too many random enemy encounters+ saving crystals too far apart makes it really annoying and boring. you are kinda forced to keep playing because if you just close it you will lose anything you've done so far since the last save point. it will be way better if you can just save anytime you want. or make the saving crystals more common, you can take away some of their healing powers

i really like this game. The thing I like to most is the brothers at the mushrooms, especially the one to the north, who says that they were going to play an old fashioned game of "lets take our clothes off and run around scaring children"
Also, Pseudolonewolf, I would just like to add, to all those people just saying 1/5, that score is really overdoing it. that is really only for games that are pure crap.

This game is the bomb, it superbly recreates the wonder-years We've spent playing games like Chrono Trigger, FF, et al. I Really wish that the combat was less laggy. True, my CPU could be better... it is a bit dated, and I'm sure the really primary, major group of players out there can handle the animations, but the slowness is tedious. It was this way in C.T. as well, actually. I remember when playing Chrono Trigger, the combat part of the game took longer than I would've liked. I like games to snap to my need to feel like the game and story respond to my ability to take it in... and not have to wait for a bee to flap it's wings, or for the screen to do a 3 fps fade. Basically, I would rather the enemies be iconized squares that just pop over and say "you got hit for 37 HP," and let me counter attack without waiting for animations to complete that I've seen 100 times.
Congratulations on making an unprecedented Flash Retro RPG that captures all the old FF spirit and more.

I must say that this game is awesome! I played the old version and that was OK but this is SO GOOD! Great dialogue XD! Excellent music! Nice leveling balance! Cool skills animations! I hope Mardek 4 gets done soon!
