Wheee: My saves are still there! I guess that means you fixed the save bug that drove me away from this game two years ago. Thanks a bunch, Pseudolonewolf. And an even bigger thank you for creating by far the best free games I've ever come across on Kongregate or anywhere else - and for proving that expensive, FF-style graphics really don't matter as long as story, writing, characters and gameplay rock the house. I can't recommend the Mardek series highly enough, and I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into no. 3 once I'm done with this one :-D

**TACTICS SPOILER** If you are stuck on the opposing adventurers, then first concentrate all of your fire on the girl wearing hooker clothes, then kill the OP mage, then the rouge and finally the weak but high-healthed fighter. Vote up if this helps you.

I'm surprised noone noticed muriance's speech "i swear on my promiscuous mother's grave"
if anyone doesn't understand, it means his mother was a slut. lul

Having played through most of the game now, I have only two main complaints. One is that every once in a while it will stop acceptting input for a couple secounds (this could just be my computer though). The other is that the resistance numbers for enemies isn't explained that well. From what I could figure out, green numbers means absorbing the element, red is bonus damage, and blue is damage reduction. Would be nice to clarify that point.

Do you know what would be great?
Make your own hero on the game.
With his/her own powers, weapons and information.
Thumbs up if you agree

Great game. Though. Some people have lvl 100 already in chapter 3 (RL somewhere?...)
And a lot of people I know already get 9999 crit. The caps should get higher D:

@lunagangclan he wont find geojacket if he search every chest, he have to go behind where you fought the zombie shaman and search some bones i think.

@abc123takeonme - Yes, you CAN use your saves from Chapter 1. However, if these saves were made before the update (as explained on the beginning screen when you load the game), then you will have to start over. This really isn't a problem as Chapter 1 takes about 45 minutes to complete.

So let me get this straight...you CAN'T use your saves from Chapter 1, even if it's been completed on Kongregate? Suck!

I love how you made it like every one else in the game is completely aware what a menu and the controls are, and they constantly tell mardek " open the menu " and he's like " what's a menu? " oh, for god's sake every time i swear... never mind lets go! " 5/5 excellent story plot, excellent dialogue, excellent fighting system.

my review wow i played this 3 years ago and i beat it now its still east *a little tougher* following the quete its the summons that get to me manly on his battleship but still two thumbs up :) it still has that old time rpg style but to my opinion it has one flaw... unlike other rpgs its really not too easy to get to 1000 health the damage is impressive that you can deal at that level mark basiclly i think more rpgs should be like this random battle great indepth plot so overall 10/10 and/or 5/5

*sigh*
The first Mardek wouldn't save/load anything, and i'd have to refresh the page if i ever tried to save it, so being i know im not going to get threw it in 1 sitting without ever, EVER dieing, I decided to play 2.
...When i load up the game, I get a big fat brown screen of death...
*sigh*
2007, mardek was my favorite flash ever submitted.
2010, I'm about to kill the screen in half.

This game is great! Sort of Final Fantasy-style moving and random battles, the battles are more fun with the reaction bar, great plotline, it's brilliant! conversations are funny too, in some games its too serious and it gets annoying and i love the fact that you don't have to grind too much. i easily give it a 5/5

@rinwar: Go into your menu, go to skills, select Emela, hit X, and use Aqualung on everyone in your party. Then you can jump in the water. You should know this if you actually took the time to read the conversation with Elwyenn.
