Hey there, after seeing Chapter 1 had badges and completing them (that's beating the game for the second time now) I decided to come here and see if save data (which was for game completion) for this one was intact (It wasn't for chapter 1). The odd thing is, while I can't load my data, I can see it. The save slot is darkened as if there wasn't a file but there's definately file information in the slot:
Mardek Lv:9 1
08:00:48 C.III END OF CHAPTER 2
What has happened?

Great game, even greater humor :D Was definitely worth playing it for ~13 hours. Too bad chapter 3 still takes some time :(
5/5

Decent. Graphics are a bit sub-par, but maybe that's for the retro feel.
Not quite as straight forward as it could be, I could not make sense of a few things, but still wroth playing.

Above and beyond what I thought flash was capable of. I liked some of the mouse-capable controls from the first version, but otherwise an excellent game. A testament to the innovative abilities of the programmer.

Amazing. Incredible. I'm shocked beyond words at how low this is rated. Great sense of humor. Great art direction, while still keeping that 8-bit feel. Top-notch RPG gameplay that never gets old. Great character development. I could go on and on, but that wouldn't stop idiots from rating "LOL 1/5" after they die once.
5/5, would go 6/5 if it were possible.

a few things were missing, like being able to seperate groups of items and give them to partymates. maybe if levels did something for your stats...

one suggestion though ... in the next chapter give Emela or some other magic user an "attack all enemies" spell ... it would make fighting groups quicker ... and you could even increase the max number of enemies in a fight

This seems to follow the ancient line of "If you're not a genius at strategy and tactic, as well as got enough luck to win the lottery twice in a row, then you need to grind exp"
Very good game though

Cantt wait for chapter 3 .. hope it comes out soon ... btw .. where the heck are those 4 trilobite keys? .. i think i only found 1 of them
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
really liked it ... reminded me alot of the old final fantasy games .. and the battle system was nice .. the timing of added effects gave a more interactive feel to the fights.. instead of just click and watch .... i say give this game a badge .. a medium one for completion

great game. though, there's a bug. the paladin tends to forget his "smite" reaction. i had to retrain it a couple of times but now that sword is to crappy for his level so i gave up on that.

can someone please tell me exactly where to find keys 2-4? I let the theif go in the beginning of the game and he never gave me any key, and I can't find the other 2
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like the game very much. I have played this before, actually, and liked it since then. Problem is, it has too many bugs. Seriously.

This is probably one of the better adventure games around on kongregate, though there are a few pointers why I rated this 4/5:
* Story is great, just takes alot?
* Better mapping, half the time I'm trying to find my way.
Overall: amazing job! Thumbs up. :)

Which items don't have a clear description of their effects...?
Maybe you're just unaware that you can hold E, A or P while rolling over items in the inventory to see their description (E for "examine"), Abilities or Properties respectively.
I really do wish people would read the Help section and pay attention to things...

it seems there's a bug after loosing against the boss in the batlleship over canonia (impossible to choose "main menu" or "load game").

You can disable the Victory! thing from the options menu... It only really takes ages on slower computers though. On mine it's quite fast.
When splitting stacks of items, just hold S and continually click on a stack. That will add to the stack you're carrying.
To flee from battle, hold the right arrow key when selecting your command; that makes the Flee option appear. That's what that conspicuous blue arrow is supposed to be telling you.

terrible graphics weak unoriginal story line bugs the mini battles take way to long and the victory sign takes 10 seconds to disappear, very unorriginal and boring 2/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1. the 'victory!!' sign after battles stays too long. or it's just that my pc is lagged. anyway, it's just too annoying =\
2. could use some way to split stacks of items not one-by-one, but to an exact amount. it's really annoying when you need to give one of your chars 5-7 potions and you have to drag-drop those every single time. (or maybe a party inventory - would be much more useful)
5/5. haven't had so much fun for a long time.
waiting for ch.3.
btw: will there be any mass spells/abilities? again, it's too annoying to kill a bunch of low-level creeps, having to use your every char ^_^

add a flee from combat option or something because all these random encounters on Moric's Battleship get tedious. It almost stops being fun because I can't get anywhere.
Anyone know how to beat Moric's Batleship? I killed all the sentries and now I'm just wandering around.

Finished it now. Liked it very much, great work. The improved controls are good. Would have been nice if I could still have hired the mercenary after the zombie attack, however. Looking forward to Chapter 3.

Nice game, i ran into a bug however:
A random battle and the conversation with the first group of bandits in the mine were triggered at the same time, which resultet in me being stuck at the end of the battle without anything happening

its an okei game.. but is a bit boring and might be confusing for normal PPL..
it's many reasons to just give it a 1 but it's a pretty dicent game so i give it a 3.. :P hehe but thats me..

for later levels use the map in the menu. It shows hidden paths and treasure chests. Great game, do NOT turn sound off. It has one of the best soundtracks for a flash game I've ever seen.

@Sarjon: thanks for posting the key locations. Btw the thief gives you key #4, key #3 is somewhere en route to Social Fox's tomb. Had to kill a whole bunch of zombies before getting key #2. All 4 keys help open the way to the underground Trilobyte town of Cambria, where you can win a good sword for Mardek in a 20-round tournament.
