KillerCody is right.. I just went to my Uncle's Laptop to see if he was right, and if you over write your save it just removes it altogether. And Autosave happens.. It just doesn't actually "save". I'm pretty sure if you transition to another area, the Autosave is gone.

I noticed that with flash 10 it will save, but if you try to overwrite your save file, it actually erases your save and doesn't allow for autosaving. If, however, you save your game when it asks you to create a new slot, it will save properly. Check to make sure it is saved by hitting load to make sure the file is there.

Ok. Guys. Stop complaining and listen up: You need Flash Player 9. If you have 10, it doesn't save / load correctly. Get Flash 9, and you're all right. Otherwise, do it right the first time or just download the damn thing.

On his website he says he lost the basic game data,so he is unable to remake it to fix the problem.
He also says chapter 3 will include playable versions of the previous 2 chapters.

Downgraded to any version on flash 9 fixes the save problem, and appearently FLash 10 just doesn't let you access the files, the moment you play after downgrading you can access all files.

I didn't remember why I never finished this game. Now I do. But I don't want to wait for 3 to come out: I'm back armed with FP 9!

I'm making a program that will repair and recover your saves for this game. I figured out how to repair them (it's annoying x_x), but you need some programming knowledge to pull it off.

I played when this first went up and had lost my saves a couple times and gave up on it. Just picked it back up since I figured the updates since then would have fixed that. Would be a great game otherwise, but losing your saves regularly on a long game makes it unplayable.

Wow.... Just lost all of my progess cause of this crappy error. Please fix it ASAP lol. This game is pretty much ruined now because of that error.

Awesome game, but the bugs are killing it.
I got stuck in a battle with an enemy that was stuck at 0 life, so the battle wouldn't end and I couldn't fight him. I tried refreshing the page, but now both of my save files are gone.

I agree with the other the effective lack of save function ruins what would be an otherwise good NES-style turn-based RPG. I also wish random encounters could be slightly more frequent. I tried bashing for cash and spent seemingly 90% of the time trying to get a random encounter.

I have just noticed. The game didn't only ruin my chapter 2 save slots. It screwed ALL the save slots, including those I only used for chapter 1.

It's not that he's 'waited' to fix this issue, it's that he doesn't know exactly what's causing it, and so he CAN'T fix it. It worked when he released it, and then Adobe, not him, changed something that caused the save bug. And Brandon, if you had simply gone to his profile, you could see that he does mention the save bug prominently. And for those of you who 'won't downgrade your Flash Player (did 10 even have any important advancements? O_o) to save', the first two chapters will be rereleased along with Chapter 3 around September, with the engine rebuilt. It's a great series of games, so don't rate it down just because of a bug that the developer can't do anything about.

just a suggestion, try changing your web browser. I use Internet Explorer for most stuff but Firefox for this game and I can save fine.

I cannot emphasize this enough: if you grew up on final fantasy 1-6 / chrono trigger you must play this game 5/5
would like remapable controls though

"...make sure you are playing the version marked ... as “v1.2.0912K”. That has the fewest bugs." -Pseudolonewolf ... Yeah, but you neglect to mention that the saves themselves don't work on certain versions of flash players. This is the only flash game I've ever played that had the saves mess up because it was dependant on a version of flash player. This game NEVER should've gotten badges.
