minimoose222,
really? I mean come on, graphics are great, second just cause you can't read a book doesn't mean you should talk crap about this amazing game for being a game with a very good/interesting story, third German? I'm just gonna leave that one alone, fourth the music goes with the game. So shut up and Dalmuti more power too you. Sorry if this seems overly mean but I love this game.

O_O
Qwerty_414, I had no trouble at all killing those bandits... you're probably just fighting the wrong way.
And if it's a "highly story-driven" game, of course it will have a lot of dialogue.

minimoose222 you muppet: did you not read the Game Description at all??
"highly story-driven" so yes, there is lots of text. The story and the snarky text is what kept me playing.
"in the style of NES and SNES RPGs" so yes, the graphics are old school. It doesn't hurt the game and gives it a nice feel.
And the French accent for Jacques was perfect and very silly.

this game made me mad.
first off, graphics are annoying, feel free to go old school, but not back to the creation of video games. Pong is better graphics than this.
second, too much dialogue. i dont play a game to try to read a book. cut it down, i pressed the Z key for about 20 minutes nonstop before i could even walk.
third, Jacques, the name if French. Steele isnt a name at all. and Zis and Zat if definitely not french. German? yes. next time you see a german named jacques tell me. actually dont cause i dont care.
Fourth, the music sucks.
Kudos for trying to make a Zelda-like RPG. But it sucked from the beginning. Sorry mate.

Great game.
There should definitely be a HARD BADGE for finding the Trilobite keys, getting to Cambria and then completing the arena challenge.
By the way, PhoenixDown is also very useful to attack the very hard undead characters like the ZombieDragon.

When I'm in the battle against the bandit leader, why do my characters skip their attacks even when they haven't had a spell cast on them at all? Also, I tried the load game option, but know I'm randomly stuck on the screen where I encounter the leader, but with no characters on the screen.

I'm not going to play until they give it badges because if I do they'll give it badges the moment after I've done everything...

This is an epic Flash RPG in the style of NES and SNES RPGs, like the early Final Fantasy games. It is highly story-driven, featuring a setting that merges swords-and-sorcery Fantasy with sci-fi

Gavrikov, the earth staff can be found in Southwood (Chapter 1 forest) just talk to the shaman ... and the lightning staff can be found in Goznor Mage shop.

Here's one or two more helpful thing to know before you attack the 4 heroes.
First, Master the skill named 'smite' who can be used by Vernh (need the bronze sword) once it's mastered... use iron sword. Buy Lightning Rod(800 gp's) and give it to Emela. Bring Pots aswell and a Pheonix down or two may be useful. Ok, when you start the fight... with Vernh (smite) attack bernard (he's dark magician). with Emela attack Bartholio (he's weak against magic) with Mardek and Deugan attack Aalia. Once Bernard is dead (shouldn't be long) finish Aalia, then Bartholio and last but not last Vennie (he shouldn't be really hard). OH AND BEFORE I FORGET.... bring all the small pots thats cure all the disease (give at least 2 of each to each player).
Good luck

Is this meant to happen Mardek is like Level 50 And im on Tainted Grotto Part at 4 soldiers. But Im wondering is he meant to be lvl 50 ?

if you have zack as your guy, make sure he has all the standard stuff and maybe some other skills set. hes not really useful at this point and time, but contiinue to train him

OK OK PEOPLE IF YOU WANT A GOOD GUIDE ON BEATING THOSE FOUR SOLDERS IN THE TAINTED GROTTO, LOOK HERE!!!
ok, first step, arm everyone with the most powerful weapons. iron greatsword for deugan, iron sword for mardek and vehrn, and a rod for emela. READ THIS: EMELIA SHOULD MASTER ALL THE MOVES FROM BUBBLE, FIRE, STONE, AND THUNDER mardek should have the lapis lily and some other accessory equipped. make sure that everyone has good armor and skills set. then in the battle, attack bernard AND Aalia first, then vennie, then bartholo. Use plenty of healing items. Oh yeah, make sure youre at least level 7.

awesome game. interesting transition of the first chapter being only 45 minutes to an hour long, and the second upwards of 3-4 hours w/o grinding. one concern, is there a way to seperate out stacked items, ie. give everyone in party a couple potions instead of just mardek having 50+ potions on top of being the only healer of main group. shift doesn't work, neither does control. but anyways, once again... awesome game!

You likely had CAPS LOCK on. It warns you to turn it off on that screen before you start playing, because it causes the Z key to not work (since only "z" seems to be detected and not "Z", due to my coding).
