I just completed Mardek ch2 for the second time. I'd done it last month and then they came out with badges for it and I "had" to go back and play it again. Most other games and I'd be complaining about that, but it was still entertaining and a second trip through the game showed me a few missed areas and gave me the opportunity to get the hang of reactions. (Thus I am fully primed for the next chapter whenever it is released.) My tip to combat a complaints I've read: save often and in more than one slot and then you *can* go back and hunt down hidden areas without starting again from the beginning. Also, if you actually *read* the text instead of complain about it, you'll get the occasional clue about what to expect next and quite a bit of it is amusing to read anyway. (I did want a "skip" option in those few places where a boss battle was proceeded by a long dialog, because if I died more than once--which I did--I had to go through the exact same text to re-start the battle.) 5/5

10% chance of dropping the trilobyte key my ass. Your game is really good. The gameplay is good and the reaction commands make it really engaging. The controls took awhile to get used to but they work. There is a good variety of items and skills. The dialog is good at some parts. I understand some of it is a satire of RPG's but some of it is long winded. But in general the dialog is good. Good game all in all. The only thing that really gets to me is the god damn low ass drop rates. Other than that good job.

Just beat it. AWESOME GAME!! Can't wait for the next, I want an exact date for it T_T. Also, to people complaining about the amount of text: There isn't much text at all, and this is an RPG game, there needs to be interesting text.

A third thing was I didn’t realize the power of the maps. It would have been nice to have a heads up about how helpful the maps are. I don’t like that you can’t load a game in which you’ve completed the chapter because then you can’t go back to find and finish the things you missed. I ended up finishing the chapter even though I missed a ton of stuff. So, to get that stuff I restarted the chapter and used a high level walkthough to make sure I didn’t miss anything because I didn’t want to have to play the chapter a third time. I realize I’ve made more negative than positive comments here, but I really do like this game and look forward to more in the series. 5/5

Overall, this is a great game! It has a good story line and good variety of weapons, armor and items without having so many that they become unmanageable. The dialogue is fantastic. Honestly, I’m not usually into the dialogue in rpgs but the wit and humor of this game’s dialogue keeps me interested. The controls seem a little clumsy but aren’t too bad once you get used to them. As I played the game the first time through I didn’t pick up on a few key things, which made the game much harder. The first thing was the way to pass items between characters. I realize this was mentioned in the help, which I did read ahead of time, but until you’ve started playing the game, some of the stuff in the help goes over your head sometimes. The second thing was the ability to click on the enemy HP/MP area to see their strengths and weaknesses. This makes a huge difference in how you play the game and I don’t even think it was mentioned in the help.

Wow didnt even start the actual game and found a bug........I went to turn off the sound in the option menu and it won't let me out of the option screen

@lloyd: your complaint is useless for two reasons
1. the game told you not to kill people if possible. READ THE DIALOGUE!
2. That isn't that far into the game, just restart.

haha i hate when game makers do this... i apparently killed the bandit way the shit bak when and now i cant get one of those keys. i dont care wut u say, thats the sorta shit that ruins a game... should have just made it harder to get the key, not just have them not get the key at all. boo

I love Rpgs and such but seriously i think that there is too much IRRELEVANT dialog Im aware dialog is important to RPGS but please keep it relevent...

Mardek's warp spell should be made available from mordics ship. Really annoying to have to replay the entire game for the last 2 badges when you accidently have no saves from pre-entering

And there's no way back to somewhere u can restock!!! I cant even go back to train more in the ship cos I no Ill run out of mana and there's no where to get more!! And even if I did Id be on no health again cos of random battles by the time I got back to Moric - I mean at least put a healing crystal near him or something!!

Pseudolonewolf, Best rpg game of its kind that I have played in a long time! The walls of text are actually fun to read because you throw in a lot of jokes. I never encountered a bug that all of these people keep talking about. There was so much in the game to do that I played for 21 hours. And all of those hours were amazing. Great game, and I'll be waiting for number 3 to come out. (soon hopefully)
